"I guessed from the start that you must not be an ordinary person. You must come from a wealthy family because you can drive a luxury car to work, but I really didn't expect that you were the granddaughter of the owner of this company."
"Yes, you're great because even though you're the heir of this company, you're willing to work from the bottom as an intern. We have a lot of respect for you."
"Ah, I'm saying this only to you because I trust you. While in this office for a month, you guys have helped me a lot. After my internship is over, I will start learning to run the company properly. I won't forget your kindness, I will definitely repay you."
I, who was just about to enter the toilet, overheard the conversation of the three annoying women. I knew Nicole was a con artist pretending to be a rich-rich girl, but I didn't expect her to take my identity. How embarrassing. I exhaled harshly, smiling as I casually stepped into the toilet where the three were talking. I knew they hated me, and I was going to give them more reasons to hate me.
"I overheard your conversation," I said, then put on a fake amazed face as I looked at Nicole. "Is it true, Nicole, that you are the granddaughter of Dante Mourinho and the heir to the of this big company we work for now? Really?"
Maria came forward, standing between me and Nicole. She folded her arms in front of her chest. "After you know the truth, you still dare to oppose Nicole? Your fate in this company is in her hands. And with her grandfather's power she can even make you unemployed for life, you know?"
I felt like bursting into laughter in front of their faces, but I held back with all my might. It seemed Nicole had noticed my agitation because she immediately confronted me with her harsh tone.
"Why are you making that face? Do you think I'm joking?"
I shook my head, "I'm not, but I do know that Mr. Mourinho's granddaughter has black hair, not blonde like you."
It was obvious that Nicole's face turned frantic. Especially after Maria and Leona looked at her. "Don't you know that hair can be colored?"
"It looks like a natural blonde to me," I retorted.
Maria, who wanted to look good in front of Nicole in the hope that her career would take off, pushed my shoulder so hard that I almost hit the wall. "Listen you silly girl, she's the granddaughter of the conglomerate that owns this building. You think she dyes her hair with cheap dye? Maybe it's because you never use expensive hair dye, so you don't know that expensive dye can make hair color look natural."
"Then do her eyes also wear expensive contact lenses to look that natural? The Mourinho family is famous for clear hazel eyes like mine?"
Maria turned to Leona and Nicole and said, "This woman is so annoying, don't you think so?"
Leona commented, "Yes, she seems to be saying that she is Mr. Mourinho's granddaughter. How funny!"
"I can't bear to look at her face. I don't want to use my influence, but I'll make sure that she never sets foot in this office again." Nicole looked at me with a confident gaze.
"Really? What if it turns out to be your feet that will never be able to step on the floor of this building?" I challenged.
"I own this building. Where did you get the nerve to threaten me!" screamed Nicole. "Ugh, how annoying! Just lock her up."
Leona and Maria stared at each other for a moment, looking doubtful. "Would it be okay if we did?" asked Maria.
Nicole's hands were folded in front of her chest. She shook her head with one eyebrow raised. "Of course there won't be any problem, have you forgotten who I am?"
Leona held one of my arms, followed by Maria on the other.
"What are you going to do?" I asked.
They then dragged me and put me in the toilet cubicle. I don't know what they did to the door so I couldn't open it. I banged on it while screaming for them to open the door.
"That's what happens when you fight me," Nicole yelled from outside.
"You will regret what you did to me!"
Leona chuckled at me. "We won't regret it! What we regret is not doing this to you in the first place."
I don't know what they were planning because I couldn't hear them clearly as they whispered to each other. After a few minutes of no sound, suddenly water fell from above me soaking almost my entire body. My white shirt was wet making the red bra I was wearing clearly visible. Not only that, the water also had an unpleasant odor and stuck to my body making me nauseous. While I struggled with nausea, the three people outside laughed at me.
"Stay there because that's the place for a turd like you!" shouted Nicole.
The three people walked out of the restroom without opening the cubicle door for me leaving me confined there alone. I stared up at the top of the stall, trying to figure out how to get out of that place. It was useless to hope that someone would come in and help me. I took off my heels and climbed onto the toilet seat. From there I tried to climb up the wall of the cubicle. It didn't work right away, but I didn't give up at all. After almost falling twice, I was finally able to climb up the cubicle wall. Luckily my legs were long enough that it wasn't too hard to get down.
When I made it out of the cubicle, I picked up the bucket that still contained the rest of the water that had been poured on me. Adding to it was the water left over from the janitor's mop at the far end of the restroom. With my anger burning, I walked out of the restroom towards my office where the three people who locked me up were. I didn't care about the people watching my appearance. The only thing on my mind right now was to get back at the mean girls.
"Chloe, why do you look like that?" a man I passed asked, but I didn't turn around at all and continued on my way.
When I arrived at the marketing room, I walked straight to Nicole's cubicle. She was sitting down without doing her work and listening to music through her headphones. I poured the water I had brought directly onto her head, making her scream in shock.
"Ahh, what are you doing?" she cried hysterically.
"That's my payback for what you did to me!"
The people who were busy in their cubicle immediately stood up and looked at us. Maria and Leona, the leech duo, immediately ran to protect their master. And that's exactly what I was waiting for since I still had some water left for them.
"Oh my God Nicole, are you okay?" asked Maria.
"You should keep that question to yourself," I said as I doused Maria and Leona simultaneously since they were side by side.
