Be Your Genie

I closed my eyes as Alexander's face drew closer, knowing he was about to kiss me. But for a moment, nothing happened. My eyes opened when I felt Alexander release his grip on my neck and take a step back from me. I could see his smile, which seemed to be mocking me. "A kiss alone won't be enough for me," Alexander said. "Too bad, because I have to attend a meeting with the legal and HR teams." I looked down, clutching the end of the towel over my chest, hiding my face, which was probably as red as a boiled crab. Damn, I should have pushed Alexander harder. Besides, why did I have to close my eyes as if I was waiting to be kissed by that man? "Don't look so disappointed, it's not that I don't want to. But as I said earlier, a kiss alone won't be enough for me." He held my chin and pushed it up so that our eyes met. "Once I kiss you, I might not let you out of this room until tomorrow." He withdrew his hands and put them in his trouser pockets. His smile didn't fade as he backed away and turned, leaving me alone leaning against the glass wall with my knees slightly bent. Alexander turned to me and said, "Your clothes are in that paper bag." He pointed to the paper bag on the bed. "Put them on and get some rest." After Alexander left the room, I regulated my rapid breathing before walking towards the bed and collapsing onto it. I closed my eyes, intending only to calm myself down as my heart was still beating fast. However, I didn't realise that I had fallen asleep wearing only a towel and with my hair still wet. When I woke up, my body was covered with a blanket, and I was fully clothed. "Are you awake?" I turned to the man who was leaning one shoulder against the wall, staring at me with eyes as blue as the deep sea. I narrowed my eyes and pulled the blanket up to cover my body. "Don't tell me you put my clothes on for me?" I accused. "Yes, it was me. I couldn't let anyone else see my wife's body, could I?" I swallowed to moisten my throat, which suddenly felt dry. I couldn't imagine what that pervert had done to my body while I was unconscious. Alexander walked slowly towards me with a small smirk. "Don't look at me like that. I'm not a somnophile, I'm not interested in unconscious people at all." He stopped right next to the bed where I was sitting. He leaned down, bringing his face close to mine. "I'm more interested in hearing your moans directly, My dear." I immediately pushed his face away when I heard him whisper insolently to me. "Keep your face away from me! You're making me sick." Alexander laughed mockingly. "That's how women are, their mouths say no, but I know you're imagining me touching every inch of your skin." "Confidence is good, but if you overdo it, it can make you hallucinate," I said, throwing the blanket aside hard enough to cover part of Alexander's face. "Yes, yes, just say what you want. But you can't keep lying to yourself." I rolled my eyes in annoyance and got out of bed. I didn't know why I was so sleepy that I didn't realise it was already getting dark outside. I walked towards the glass wall that allowed me to see the crowded cityscape. "Actually, I'm a little curious as to what makes you so unwilling to be known as Dante Mourinho's granddaughter?" I turned to the man who was staring at me with one eyebrow raised. "I just..." I swallowed hard, then closed my eyes with my lips tightly pursed. I couldn't continue because I remembered the dark events of the past. "Are you afraid that what happened to your parents will happen again?" I didn't answer, staring blankly ahead. I still remembered that incident clearly. I could still feel the pain. "If you're worried about that, then stop, because I'm here to protect you." Alexander folded his sleeves up to his elbows, revealing his muscular arms with prominent veins. I looked into Alexander's eyes, which seemed to hold no falsehood in his words. But empty promises like that would not influence me at all. I had once been so enchanted by that man who possessed the beauty of a Greek god. It was enough that I had been fooled like an i***t because I had fallen in love. No matter what sweet talk he used, I had to restrain myself. "All right, thank you for your kindness, but we really don't need to do that. I can protect myself." "Protect yourself, you say? You can't even get rid of a little fly that's bothering you." He came close to me, so close that I couldn't see anything but him. He grabbed a strand of my hair and kissed it briefly. "Listen, I'm here. Use me as you please. Do whatever you want because I'll even kneel at your feet if that's what you want." I frowned, staring into eyes that held not a shred of doubt. "What do you mean, use you?" Alexander took a strand of my hair and kissed it, closing his eyes for a moment. "Just what I said, anything." He replied after dropping my hair back into place. My jaw tightened as I thought of Sebastian and his family. I raised an eyebrow at Alexander. "Can you destroy a family for me?" A small smirk appeared on the man's face. "Just a family? I can destroy thousands of families if that's what you want." My eyes widened and I gasped when Alexander grabbed my waist and pulled me closer so that there was no space between our bodies. I tried to break free, but my strength was no match for his. He caressed my cheek with his other hand. "I can be your Genie, so tell me everything you wish for." He lifted my chin until I looked up at him. I could feel his breath on my face, which smelled of menthol. "Anything?" He nodded. "Anything, except leaving you." His voice was heavier and his deep gaze was fixed on me.
