Chapter 8 Cynthia Background Story

Cynthia POV

My name is Cynthia Tewogbade , I was born in Nigeria on 23rd November 1987 into the family of Reverend pastor Ayomide Babalola and Deaconess Elizabeth Babalola .

My both parent are pastors and hold a position in their church which make me God-fearing woman since I was raised in very religious home . I have one elder brother who is also a pastor and One younger brother.

My husband David was introduced to me by my parents , he was one of their church member , David was sweet when we just started dating but after few months of dating him I notice he is becoming inpatient with me , his always angry on every single thing on till one day he beat me blue black .

I told my parents about it they say it a test for God to know how patient I can be so I have to go back to him so I went back to him after he beg me that he will no do that again which he kept he didn't beat me on till we got married.

I got married to my husband David Tewogbade when I was 25 years old , everything was sweet at the beginning David show me love that people are started to get jealous of me for having a good husband.

But everything changed when one of David's ex girlfriend Alisha died , she die from excessive beating from David's hand but they say she was beating to death by the thief that rob her house , after her death David started insulting me get angry all the time and he always have something to complain about in the house .

The day my nightmare started is the day I talk to him and asked why he is acting like they is no love in our marriage anymore and he replied that one of muse died .

I was so sad that day when he told me that his ex girlfriend Alisha is his muse , why not me ? am his wife not Alisha not knowing that I will soon become one of his muse .

The first time David beats me after our wedding is when I know what kind of muse Alisha is. That day I went to Stella's place and when I reach home I met David wait for me in the living room looking pissed so I ran to him to ask what is wrong with he the next thing I know he slapped me and started beating me without telling me what I did wrong and when his done beating me he asked me to strip naked and do a beautiful pose that I will be the new muse is looking for.

I give birth to our first daughter at 26, I have our second daughter at 32 and I have third daughter at 35 years old, the only time I am free for David's torment .

Although David provide for me and our children, he is a good father to our kids but people don't know what I facing in my marriage some woman in my church use my marriage has a prayer point for their female children not knowing they're just coursing their children because they only see him taking care of me financial, take me on date, sent flowers and gift and other things to show how romantic he is on the outside but inside he a beast.

I husband beat me on every single mistake, he also beat me when he is just have a bad day or when he is in a bad mood, sometimes he just beat me when he need inspiration and after he is satisfied with is work on my body he will ask me to pose despite how bearable the pain am feeling and then drew me.

My-in-laws knows about their son beastly behavior but they did nothing,

and Mother in law is also a devil who did not give a f**k about her children expect my husband but her care turn her to what he is, she never sees any wrong in what my husband did to women like her ,she will even help him covered it up, she put all her love and attention on David while she didn't even bother to how her other children live, so that kind of a mother can not help me escape from her golden son.

Well I don't really blame My in laws when my own family also did nothing help me so why should My-in-laws care, any time told my own family about my problem they will ask me to pray, fast and read some verses in the bible that God will help me change my husband heart if am faithful enough and that a good Christian stay with her husband no matter what she is going through in the marriage that a woman house is her husband's house but deep down I know that they just don't want me to ruin their reputation.

Stella my best friend is the only person who try to help me in little way she can, anytime my husband beat me I will call her to take me to the hospital and she always answer my calls any time I need help, deep down I know she want me to divorce my husband but she won't say it because Stella is someone who only advise people that will yield to her advice and she knows will not listen so she didn't say nothing.

I remember when my still dating my husband Stella use to say that David is hiding something, saying that he is so nice someone can not be that nice, when he beat me when we are still dating Stella asked me to leave him that when a man beat a woman they never stopped, if I had know I will listen to her then I won't be in this nightmare that I called marriage. she never liked my husband and likewise my husband hate Stella,

David called her untrained woman that she need a real man to train her then she will behave like how a woman should behave but I doubt if a man beat Stella the next thing she will do is hired some street boys to also beat the man to make sure both her and the man are in pain .
