Thirty-TwoFrom out of the distance, it came – the steady tramping thud of a Sandman. There had been no evidence of Sandmen amongst the debris. The ultimate killing machine, it had once more proved its worth and it had prevailed. And now it was coming for me. I knew it would find me, the only living thing in that hellish plain, but I also knew it would take longer than usual because I had no chip. Once it spotted me, however, it would run me down with those great, long legs. My only hope was to try and remain concealed in that little dip.
