Alessio’s POV
It is officially seven days to Christmas and I still do not know what to do. Aunt Francesca is doing so much better, but she hasn’t stepped out of her room yet—I am most likely the reason for that. I am hoping that she eventually steps out because these last two days have been an absolute bore. I have plans and I really do not want to keep her in the dark. I feel like I have kept her in the dark for long. I mean, it took a while before I spilled the tea on who killed her daughter and she did not even take the information lightly.
Over the last few days, all I have done is to eat, smoke, drink and watch her over and over. I have rarely gotten any sleep because once I get on the bed to sleep, I mostly always end up on my phone, watching the footage produced by the cameras that are installed back in Albania. In as much as I do not want to admit this, I can’t deny the fact that it is getting very unhealthy. I mean, who watches someone for that long. Even people who have such jobs work on shifts, but the case has been very different with me.
