Elayne's POV
On the way to the car, black roses litter the floor. This is clearly a message from my husband to be.
"You didn't have to do all of this." I fake a smile as I hold the hem of the dress, and help myself into the car. It's a Ferrari SUV this time around. I've seen this man with at least three expensive cars, and one thing that gets me thinking a little bit is the fact that I don't see the rest of the cars around. It's like after he's done with a car, he's got a specific place where he offloads them.
He doesn't respond to me as the next sound I hear is the sound of the driver zooming off. I'm hungry. Yes, I know I'm always hungry, but I hope, and pray to God that my stomach doesn't rumble. If that happens, we might have to stop the car. I cannot go to my wedding hungry.
Alessio is sitting close to the tinted window while I'm sitting close to the other, and I turn to look at him. The hatred that's growing inside me for this man is unimaginable, but the only thing on my mind right now is how to steal that watch. Not because I want it–the earlier I realize there is no way out of this, the better for me, but I want to upset him so bad he comes banging against my door. I'll probably keep it if the mission is successfully accomplished. I don't have a plan, though, but trust myself that in due time, I'd be able to cook up one.
"Do you think I'm going to reconsider all of this?" He asks, suddenly turning to face me. It's my turn to give him the silent treatment. In response to his question, I simply fold my arms across my chest, and lean on the headrest, staring out the window, my mind barely there, but deep in my thoughts.
"A dose of payback, I see."

The venue of the wedding is on the top of the roof of some place that I do not know.
Alessio tugs on my arms aggressively while his sentinels follow behind him.
We're in front of the priest in no time, and suddenly, Alessio brings out shades from nowhere and puts it on. I don't know if the priest was coerced into any of this, but he must sense that something is wrong. He doesn't say anything because obviously, Alessio must have paid him like a hundred thousand dollars to do this thing, shut the f**k up, and get the hell out of here.
His men stand behind us, and Alessio tells the priest to get the ceremony started.
"Do you take him as your lawfully wedded husband?" He throws the question at me suddenly. I nod.
"Do you take her as your lawfully wedded wife?" Alessio nods. Honestly, the glasses seated on his nose makes the whole thing look like couples in a rom-com who escaped to have their dream wedding.
"You can kiss her." The priest says. Alessio definitely told him how the ceremony should go because this didn't even take up to five minutes. We could have done it at the villa, but no. This obstinate son of a b***h woke me, and brought me here.
"That's not happening." He shakes his head, and proceeds to take off his shades.
I gasp because I'm short of air. The sound of gunshots everywhere, and the priest who just officiated our wedding is now laying on the floor. This happened all too quickly. Fear has overridden whatever feeling it was that I had before. This is most likely where it all ends.
"Portala alla macchina. Presto, stronzi!" I hear Alessio's voice, and it feels as though time slows down.
Translation - Get her to the car. Quickly, you assholes!
Before I know it, I'm in the arms of one of his men, and he's racing to what I think is the car. From the way I'm carried, I'm facing Alessio. I wonder why he remains on the rooftop, though. I cannot wait to start throwing all of the questions.
Alessio fishes out a gun from somewhere in his clothes, and he starts shooting.
I'm hauled into the car like luggage, and the driver drives as though an enemy is just a few feet away from us. It's like those action movies with hot characters. I don't want to stare at the speedometer because I might get a heart attack from it. The driver just keeps going, and I wonder what is happening, and why anything is happening. By the way, where the f**k is Alessio? I'm terrified, but God knows I'm trying so hard to keep it cool because panicking doesn't help.
Think of the devil, and he arrives. Alessio runs out from an Alley with blood covering his arms. I'm shocked, and afraid for the first five seconds, but a good look at it from where I am tells me he isn't the one who is hurt. He's the one who did the hurting.
The car comes to a sudden halt, and Alessio rushes to the door. He opens it, and slides inside. He places his gun in between his legs, and looks out the window. He murmurs some words in Italian which I guess are cuss words.
I notice that something is off. It's not the same way we followed when we were coming from his villa. I can't really be sure because he might be taking me to get food or some s**t–I hope so.
I want to remind everyone that I'm hungry, but my instinct tells me that this isn't the right time for that.
A jet comes in sight, and everything begins to fit in. He's taking me somewhere. What I don't know is where.
"What is going on?" I ask. That is officially the first thing I have said since the now dead priest declared us man, and wife.
He airs me, and it's definitely all right. I'm cool with it.
We're walking toward the stairs of the plane in no time.
Before my foot touches the first step, I pause.
"Mr Alessio, you cannot force me to f*****g marry you, and make me watch all of the s**t that went down, and bring me to a gang hangar and expect me to climb up the aircraft stairs as though I have seen nothing. I am a parrot, and I'll say everything." I make empty threats. Who am I fooling, though? I know absolutely no one in this f*****g country, and I have no phone and no money. I'd probably end up under the bridge.
"Come in when you're ready." Is all he says before he rapidly climbs the stairs as though he's the wind. He disappears into the private plane, and I'm left standing there, one foot on the first stair, dumbfounded as f**k.
I'm obstinate enough to say I will not go in, but I shrug and go in. I love adventures, and I definitely did not come this far to get stranded in a place I can't get away from. I must see this through.
Shrugging, I jug up the stairs, and get into the plane.
It's soft gold chairs I see, and I can't help but comment about that.
"Your taste in colours must be very bad. I see no reason why you didn't choose any other theme for this. Gold, really? Who f*****g does that?" I roll my eyes and fall on one of the chairs. I'm sitting on the one that's opposite from him, and it's close to the window.
"I'll need you to sign this." He tells me without responding to what I said earlier. He hands me a couple of papers stapled together with a pen.
"I'm not signing shit." I tell him, avoiding his gaze crossing my legs, and looking out the window.
"Make sure you read it and understand every clause before signing it. It's important."
He picks up the glass close to the champagne bottle on the table that's in between us, and he drinks. I swear, I can hear the sound of the liquid go down his throat.
"We're flying very soon. I know you're very heavy headed, but I'd advise you to fasten your seat belt. I've never recorded any disaster. I do not want that to change because of you."
I eye him like garbage and do as he instructed.
I know I said I'm not signing anything, but f**k this.
I grab the papers from the table. I scan them roughly, not bothering to read anything, and then I sign.
I drop them on the table, but it seems as though I haven't been watching Alessio very closely because he grabs me by the hand, and injects something into my arms, and I fade into nothingness.
