Wrong Arrow 23
Inside the office of Amour Headquarters, Colby saunters back into the office and finds Ristle and Dyke have come back from their little trip. “Hey guys. Back so soon?” It’s that smile on Colby’s that catches the other keepers off guard. Ristle and Dyke give each other confused glances. “Uh..Yeah. We could have been back a lot more earlier but Ristle over here wanted to double check the area.” Colby hums as he walks past them, allowing himself to get covered by shelves of folders once again. This time, Dyke walks to stand in front of him, gaze fixated on his face. The white owl widens his eyes in question. “What are you doing?” Eyes furrowed and alert, Dyke then takes a step back to say. “You seem calmer than usual. What the heck did you do while we were away?” Ristle’s joins in on the conversation. He’s right. Normally you’d start whooping pass us in that huge form of yours. What exactly have you been doing?” Colby shrugs his shoulders casually, patting both their shoulders as he walks past them. “Let’s just say, I may have figured out a way to make some jobs a lit more easier.”

On the other side of the dimension, the two cupids are still keeping an eye on the three humans. Stell watches as Vaeri practically inhale the food that was set before them. “Geez. I know you said you were hungry but take it easy on the food will you? You might end up choking.” She takes a huge bite from the slice of pizza and swallows. Stell grabs a tissue and pushes it against her lips, were some paste can be seen. He gets a glare in return for helping her. From the other side of the table, Harper tells Zach. “Something’s wrong.” It’s normal not to see the affects right away. The purpose of they vials and arrows and the gadgets they use is to spark that hint of interest. “Have you tasted this pizza? It’s delicious.” Stell nods his head like he’s processing her words. Vaeri looks at pearl and says with a mouth full of food. “Why aren’t you eating?” Concerned, Stell looks at Pearl who’s sitting across from him. He leans in a little, an arm resting on top of the table. “We can order something else if you like.” He suggests. “Hmm? No it’s fine.” She waves him down. “Pass me the tissue.” Vaeri nudges Pearl by the arm, thanking her when she’s given the item. Stell clasps his hands together and rests his elbows on the table. A warm smile appears on his lips. Vaeri notices and slightly hisses at him in annoyance. “Don-“ But it’s too late. He jumps right in like a swimmer diving from a long plank. “You remind me of a chipmunk. An ugly one.” And there is zero mercy to his comment. He’s going all out today too it seems. He smiles boyishly, acting as if he had accomplished a secret mission. “Oh really now? Well you remind me of a fox.” That makes his think. Stell tilts his head to the side, trying to make sense of her words. And then something clicks, making him smile a little. “Because you think I’m sly, uh?” He says with a smirk tickling the side of his lips. He clasps his fingers together, the silver ing in his finger gets stroked by the setting sun. If you look closely, you can see the outside world shaped in it. The ends of Stell’s hair’s dangling smoothly across his forehead. Even though he’s a guy, he possessed long delicate lashes that curled naturally. He possessed the looks that could attract even those of the same gender. She shakes her head, ends of her hair flowing with the impact. Vaeri could see that but after knowing him for so long, she can only see the annoyance and goofy side to him. Both her and Pearl could. “No. It’s because I hate foxes.” Pearl picks up a slice of pizza and takes a bite. Vaeri wasn’t kidding. It tasted like heaven. “And yet you still tolerate me. Didn’t take you as someone who loves hanging out with people you hold great dislike.” He’s speaking like he’s understanding her, nodding his head as he processes his own words. Realizing that he’s mocking her at this point, Vaeri nudges Pearl on the arm and whippers like she’s telling her a secret. She’s not trying to keep it a secret though. “Remind me why I still agree to hang out with him?” Unbothered by the question, pearl takes another bite of the slice and swallow. “You tell me. I don’t get why you two are always in each others toes. Like brother and sister.” Pearl presses a thinking finger against her chest. “Now that I’m seeing the both of you, you two almost look alike.” Vaeri’s face falls into one that doesn’t have amusement. “Now you’re just mocking me at this point.” Laughter pours out of Pearl’s lips. She finally takes a sip from her drink and gently sets it back down. In the other side of the table, Zach’s biting his fingers and rocking his foot. The two cupids are watching, anticipating. The potion won’t make them express their love right away, more rather, it’ll heighten their interest for one another. Since it would be really weird if one of them stands up ti announce that they like the other. Things like those only happens in movies. “Is it working?” Zach asks his friend. “I don’t think it’s working. They’re still not looking at each other. Are you sure you put the solution in there?” Zach looks at his friend with a rather offended look. “Of course, I put it.” Harper’s watching the table like an eagle glaring at it’s prey from the sky. Its ridiculous how he’s invested in this. Especially since Pearl and Stell aren’t his clients.Minutes eventually goes by. Vaeri’s rubbing her stuffed stomach at this point. While in her other hand, she’s still holding a slice of pizza. “What time is it?” She asks pearl, who checks her phone. “Close to eight.” Vaeri nods her head and finishes the pizza in one bite. “Thanks for paying Stell. You’re literally the best when it comes to paying.” She wipes her fingers with a tissue before spraying alcohol, rubbing her hands together right after. She still smelled like pizza but that doesn’t bother her the slightest. “You’re making me feel like a walking wallet.” Stell admits with a playful sigh, pretending as if it was bother him. “Aren’t you one?” Vaeri leisurely answers with no care in the world, causing the brown headed boy to stare at her in such an offended manner. “Vaeri.” He says in a low, almost warning tone. “I’m kidding. You’re not a walking wallet. You’re a walking money.” Vaeri then glances to the side. “Hmm? You didn’t finish your drink.” She’s pointing at Pearl’s drink. “Did you even touch it?” It was always half inside the cup though. At some point, she just didn’t feel like drinking it anymore. Pearl sniffs and ignores the question. “Should we head over to the arcade now?” The brown headed boy’s eyes lights up. In the next second, they’re grabbing their things and exiting the cafe. Vaeri can’t stop rubbing her full stomach, repeating how the food was so delicious. Harper smacks a hand across Zach’s chest- releasing a his from the latter. “Did it work?” He asks without looking at him. Rubbing the area he was hit, Zach answers in a low tone. “It should work.” Even he doesn’t know if it worked. They’re not showing any signs. Then again, it might be a little too early for that. “WOW! Look at the size of this place!” The area’s blasting with music, and gun sounds. People their age can be seen everywhere. Vaeri’s eyes are practically sparkling with excitement. “Lets try that one over there!” After purchasing some tokens, She grabs hold of Stell’s hand and drags him violently across the room to the dance challenge area. “Why is it so loud in here?!” Harper yells at Zach. “The last one wasn’t this loud!” Indeed, the place was in full volume. And to think everyone here would still be able to hear well once they return home is ridiculous. Harper spots Pearl and points at her. “Why is she alone!?” Zach can’t obviously clearly hear his friend at the moment. Which explains the confused expression he gives him the next second. “You want to buy cologne?!” Harper grabs Zach’s face and directs his gaze to the girl. When he lets go of him, his hands trail to his shoulders and he gives him an encouraging push. Zach comes to understand what he meant by that and excuses himself. From a distance, he spots Vaeri and Stell having a dance bottle in one of those dance machine. That’s not how he had envisioned his plan though. Why was pearl way over here? Trying to win a toy from a cane? She’s basically thirty steps away from the two. “You shouldn’t be here. You should be over there you know.” He mumbles under his breath, stopping right beside her. He tucks his hands inside his pockets and watches as the crane falls. She fails the first try and inserts another token. And fails yet again. “You’re really bad at this.” He gives her a comment, scratching the back of his head. He looks around, trying to see if Harper was there. He is. But he’s way over there, glaring at the two dancing. Zach brings his gaze back just as the crane gets dropped. He moves his hand through the box, and secures. A plushie between the fingers of the crane in a firm hold. Pearl’s face brightens up. Zach on the other hand can’t help the smile that appears on his face. The plushy was yellow, cute puppy who had it’s tongue out. It had a Purple Heart embedded to its overall clothes. When pearl finally held it, Zach had to look away for a moment. He makes eye contact with Harper however, and the look the cupid gives him brings a shiver down his spine. Harper’s gaze from across the room screams “What on earth do you think you’re doing?” The latter breaks eye contact first when Vaeri suddenly throws punches towards Stell. The cupid then begins shouting at them. Zach sees that he begins mouthing the words ‘don’t touch him!’ He was being overprotective to say the least. He was too caught up with Harper he had failed to notice that pearl was no longer standing beside him. He looks around and then finds her walking towards the direction of the exit. Zach goes after her. “Where are you going?” Harper yells when he sees his friend running past him. Without saying a word, Zach only points towards the direction of the exit. The arcade’s located on the fifth floor of the mall. He finds pearl going down the stairs, eventually reaching an area where they provide food. “I’ll have a chocolate frappe please.” The person inside the stall nods her head and begins making her drink. After paying, she waits at one of the empty tables. Zach takes the seat across from her. She pulls her phone out and begins tapping on the screen. “Did it work or not?” He asks himself silently. Although the lack of reaction is normal, it still bothers him. Maybe he didn’t put enough potion inside? No that’s impossible. That amount was fine. However, Zach knew he was on edge. And that feeling didn’t make sense to him. He started trotting his feet at some point and it wasn’t until Pearl’s order comes in that he stops doing what he was doing. Pearl thanks the girl and enjoys her little snack. He looks at her with furrowed eyebrows. “You like sugar a lot don’t you?” And junk foods too. She eats pancakes for dinner and consumes soft drinks and bubble and grape as if it’s the air she breaths. “How do you not get a headache from those?” Pearl takes in a deep breath and sips on her straw, eyes fixated on her phone. Zach leans in, crossed arms sitting on top of the table. This way, he gets a better look at her face. Pearl had delicate lashes that curl ever so slightly. Her lips were rather puffy. Pink and glossy from the lip gloss she likes carrying around with her. She had a cute button nose and muffin like cheeks. She looks cute. When that thought strikes him, the reaction he gets from his body causes him to lean back like he’s been electrocuted. He blinks his eyes in shock, whispering slightly. “What the heck?” He touches his ears and feels them burning hot. That, wasn’t normal. At that exact moment, they hear an approaching voice. “And here I thought you were gonna ditch us.” Stell comes around and takes the seat beside Pearl. Vaeri trails behind and almost crushes Zach with her butt. Although she would just slip right pass him there’s still that rule of not making and sort of contacts with humans. He manages to escape the event last minute though. A fuming Harper appears right after and there’s a string clutched between in his hand. “What do you need that for?” Zach asks with confusion. He’s almost hesitant to ask. “I’m gonna strangle someone.” Utters the young cupid. “Uh.. who?” Why did he even dare ask? “Him.” He says before charging forward.
