Clara's POV
I sat there and listened to him talk about random things, I forced myself not to fall asleep as that would be like bringing a lot on me.
“ What happened at the ceremony?" He suddenly asked.
I could not say anything. I sat there, staring into blank space. Why would he ask me such a question? Well, I was expecting something like that, but not the way he had put it.
“Nothing happened" I tried to look confused.
“ You were not at the ceremony at some point"
I froze, how did he know? And did he also know that I did not wear the dress that he gave to me?
“ I was feeling so dizzy, I had to leave the place to go take some water. Standing up for so long made me dizzy" I lied.
“ You would not have been dizzy if you had a man standing by you and talking to you," He said.
