Chapter 19: The Bond Unbrokenq

The celebration for Eli's proving lasted for days.

The pack was filled with joy and pride. Their future Alpha had proven himself worthy, and the future of the Silvermoon Pack was secure.

But not everyone was happy.

A rogue wolf had been watching from the shadows. He was a member of the fallen Shadow Pack, and he wanted revenge. He had lost his pack, his home, and his family. And he blamed Kai.

His name was Dax.

One night, under the cover of darkness, Dax sneaked into the pack house. He moved silently, his eyes filled with hatred. He found Eli's room and crept inside.

Eli woke instantly, his instincts sharp. "Who are you?" he demanded.

Dax snarled. "I'm the one who's going to take away everything your father loves."

Eli didn't hesitate. He shifted into his wolf form and attacked.

The fight was brutal. Dax was older and more experienced, but Eli was faster and more determined. They fought through the pack house, their snarls echoing through the halls.

Kai and Maya woke to the sound of the fight. Kai shifted and ran toward the commotion, his heart pounding with fear.

When he arrived, he saw Eli standing over Dax, his silver eyes glowing with fury. Dax lay on the ground, defeated and broken.

"Eli!" Kai shouted. "Are you okay?"

Eli shifted back, his chest heaving. "I'm fine, Father. He didn't touch me."

Kai pulled his son into a hug. "You were incredible. You defended our pack."

Eli nodded. "I'll always protect our pack. I'll always protect our family."

Maya arrived and pulled Eli into her arms. "You scared me to death," she said, her voice trembling.

"I'm sorry, Mother," Eli said. "But I couldn't let him hurt anyone."

The pack gathered around Eli, praising his bravery. He had proven himself again, not just as a hunter, but as a protector.

Kai stood beside his son and placed a hand on his shoulder. "You've made me so proud today, Eli. You're ready."

Eli smiled. "I'm ready for anything."

The next morning, Kai and Maya stood on the balcony of the pack house, watching the sun rise.

"We have a good son," Maya said softly.

"We have the best son," Kai corrected. "And he's going to be an even better Alpha than I was."

Maya leaned into him. "I can't wait to see what the future holds."

Kai kissed the top of her head. "Whatever it is, we'll face it together. Our bond is unbreakable."

Maya smiled. "Forever and always."

"Forever and always," Kai repeated.
