The group followed her, their hearts pounding in their chests. They slipped through the door, finding themselves in a cramped, dimly lit room. The air was thick with dust, and the smell of decay filled their nostrils. "Where are we?" Maya asked, her voice barely above a whisper. Dr. Taylor locked the door behind them, her expression grim. "We're in an abandoned warehouse," she said. Ethan's eyes adjusted to the dim light, and he saw crates and boxes stacked around them. "This should give us some time to figure out our next move," Dr. Taylor said, " But Ethan's mind was racing with questions. Who was Dr. Taylor's contact, and could they trust them? And what lay ahead for them? The group knew they had to be careful. They were still being pursued by the facility's security team, but for now, they had a small window of opportunity. "Who is it?" he asked. Dr. Taylor hesitated. "Someone who can help us expose the facility and get you to safety," she said. Maya's eyes widened. "But can we trust them?" she asked. Dr. Taylor's expression was thoughtful. "We'll have to take that risk," she said. The group knew they had to move fast. They couldn't stay in one place for too long. Dr. Taylor pulled out a small device from her pocket. "This is a secure comms device," she said. She entered a code, and a few moments later, a voice responded. "Dr. Taylor, we've been expecting your call," the voice said. Ethan's eyes locked onto Dr. Taylor. Who was this person, and could they trust them? Dr. Taylor's expression was calm. "We have the evidence we need to take down the facility," she said. The voice on the other end was firm. "I'll send someone to extract you," it said. The group exchanged nervous glances. Dr. Taylor's expression was reassuring. "We have to try," she said The group nodded, but their doubts lingered. Suddenly, they heard the sound of footsteps outside, the door creaked, and a figure entered. "Dr. Taylor?" the figure said, their voice low. Dr. Taylor nodded. "Yes, that's me," she said. The figure stepped forward, revealing a woman with a serious expression."I'm here to extract you," she said, but as Ethan looked at her, he noticed something that made his heart sink. A symbol on her jacket seemed familiar. It was the same symbol he had seen at the facility. "Who are you?" Ethan asked, his voice cautious. The woman's expression didn't change. "I'm someone who can help you," she said. But Ethan's doubts grew. Was this person truly on their side, or was she working for the facility?. The group's fate hung in the balance.
