Chapter 5
As I wait for my sushi I remember Kylie worked on Saturday. I worked too. It was hot and busy. She could have picked up a bug. I think Saturday is the day we property managers really earn our money.
It is a day of challenges. The biggest is to get from one open for inspection to the next, and stay on time. We have fifteen minutes at a property, and about ten minutes to drive between properties.
The routine goes something like this:
Find the property. Find a car park, get into it and notice the number of people waiting. Find the right bunch of keys, get the right running sheet onto the clipboard, grab a handful of applications and rental lists and get out of the car.
