I never like leaving my mate, and now that my daughter is part of the equation, it makes it that much harder. Being a doctor isn't easy. There are a lot of sacrifices that I have no other choice but to make for the sake of my patients. Especially the psychiatric ones.
I didn't plan on being gone more than a day or two, and I didn't want to drag Lark or Lindy and the baby away from the family. It was important for them all to meet and get acquainted with Lark, and for the baby to be around her new family.
