Figures as soon as we get to Ruby Meadows, I get called into a meeting. Gunner, the amazing man he is, took the food, the kids and the nanny to our cabin.
I had been given most of the agenda for the meeting, and from what I had read, I wasn't opposed to any of it really. My only objection was the ridiculous amount of money that Damian was willing to give Joel and Jason for the Silver Howl property.
They would get a pretty penny from the Royal Council for their real estate, but it didn't mean they had to spend that and more for a far less piece of property in size.
It didn't sit well with me. Just because he was desperate to move away from the mountains, it didn't mean that he should put my sister and their children close to poverty.
