I gasped when Phoenix relayed the order of the Elders. I was informed they had made a decision, but they asked that I allow Phoenix to reveal it per his request.
When Lindy rejected Phoenix, I was surprised by one big thing: Phoenix didn't grasp his heart, and only his mark. I have had to witness a couple of rejections, and it's always the same. After rejection, they always grasp their hearts. I made a point to ask Phoenix about it.
Gunner had grabbed a chair for Phoenix to sit on, but my big brother refused it. He just leaned against the wall watching his ex-mate's pain. If I didn't know him better, I would think he would almost relish it. I know he is hurting, and is heartbroken, but he is refusing to allow her the satisfaction of seeing it.
