Somehow, I knew that the rise in hunters in the area would skyrocket when the spell was broken. Once Alette and Damian took their oath, and the Fae regained their wings, I was sure word would get around fast.
Hunters see anything that isn't human as unnatural, and in their minds, the unnatural must be exterminated from the earth. It doesn't matter if you are part human, if you are a shifter, or any sort of supernatural, you don't deserve to exist.
The first time I traveled to the Fae kingdom with Alette and Damian, I could sense them close by, but when we arrived today, I knew they were dangerously close. Especially when I saw my old group at a gas station not far from the kingdom.
What worried me most is that Theo saw them too. "Why are they here, Max? This isn't a good sign
