This had to work. I needed them both to confess to what they had done, and I needed Ginger and her mate, Eric, present to witness. After all, they were Eric's parents.
"David, Henrietta, we have something very serious to talk to you about. Do you know what the broken pieces are on my desk?" I asked.
They leaned forward and inspected the pieces, and then leaned back with smug looks on their faces. As they were about to answer, Ginger and Eric came in.
I asked them to sit, and explained that they would learn why they were here in just a moment. I told them that I had just questioned Eric's parents about the pieces on my desk, and was awaiting their answers.
Ginger and Eric sat on the sofa near my desk, and listened carefully.
"Alpha, they look like broken plastic pieces,"
