I sat patiently waiting for her answer, and I couldn't help but notice the shock on everyone else's faces.
"Um, well, that was unexpected," Rory stated. "Do you care if I step out and speak to Luke about all of this? He has a say so as well," she asked.
Of course, I told her it was fine, and when she left the room, my aunt spoke up.
"Asteria, are you sure? I think Rory would be very beneficial, but as you already know, she can be kind of flighty," Marion said.
"Auntie, I am very sure. I can't count on both hands how many times I have been in a situation that I needed to make a precise decision on, and Rory was the one to come up with the solution without any hesitation. I would love it if she were my Beta, but I know for fact Luke won't allow that much stress for her,"
