Amara felt her father's arms squeeze her. But she barely cared. Her eyes were still drowned in the high of having her fangs taste the blood of that man. She could see the bright lights of her chamber. She could almost be blinded by them. Yet her blue flakes scanned the room for her brothers, and more importantly, for Kalel. She caught him lying on the floor. Amara pushed her father away. But with her dead knees, she failed to walk towards him. The daughter of the House Sinclair chose to crawl to get to her butler.
