Caedan’s POV
Zariah’s grandparents have been completely doting on her after she settled in her mom’s room and cleaned up and changed her clothes. We were in the inner courtyard earlier and they were asking her about her growing up. As she’s described what her adopted family on her father’s side really did to her, I am getting more and more angry. I can’t believe they would do that to her while she was recovering from almost dying. I know I’m not the only one feeling that way. King Lucus’ face has shown his anger tho he’s hid it from her seeing it. Queen Lumi’s golden eyes are screaming of her anger even though she is speaking calmly to Zariah.
I am awfully glad I gave that money to Oria to give to Xander. He deserves a statue erected of him for being there for her through thick and thin
