Caedan’s POV
I held her hand as we maneuvered our way within the forest. I think she wanted to put the devices she called headphones back in her ear that she listens to her music with, but she doesn’t want to let go of my hand. Occasionally she glances up and smiles at me. I return her smile. I am so happy to be heading to my kingdom. If we are lucky, we will reach the edge of Varyn by tomorrow late morning. We will have to sleep in the forest for the night which I’m not looking forward to. There are many creatures that like to play tricks on travelers in the forest.
We stopped by a small stream in early afternoon to have a midday meal. She pulled Blizz, Jewel, and Eclipse back inside her while she was resting and eating. Kayne had nudged her, and she said, “Clothes?” He nodded his head
