She continued to move forward, through the streets of the town, and returned to her home. She took off her wet coat and sat in a rocking chair by the window with a cup of hot tea in her hand. Her eyes fell on the rain outside the window, and her heart was full of expectations for the future. She knew that she had done everything she could, and now, she could only wait. Meanwhile, Alex was in the family study, facing the wall of books and the expectations of the family. He felt more and more depressed, and his life seemed to be bound by the family's traditions and responsibilities. He began to doubt his future, and his heart was filled with a desire for freedom. Alex stood at the window, looking at the outside world. His eyes revealed melancholy, and he felt that he was trapped in a cage from which he could not escape. He knew that he had to find a woman of Scottish descent to complete the family ritual, but his heart was silently rebelling. His father, the patriarch of the family, had a clear plan for his future. Alex felt like a chess piece, being manipulated by the family. He longed to be able to control his own destiny, but he also knew that any resistance could have serious consequences. Alex took a deep breath and tried to calm himself. He knew that he had to make a choice, but his heart was hesitant. He didn't know what to do, and his future seemed confused. At the other end of town, Benjamin's darkroom was hidden in the corner of his slightly old-fashioned apartment. The walls around were painted dark gray to reduce the reflection of light, and the air was filled with the unique smell of developer and fixer. In one corner of the room were various photographic equipment, and in the other corner were his collection of divination books and tools. On the wall hung several black and white photos, recording the history and secrets of the town. Benjamin stood in front of the enlarger, concentrating on observing the photos that had just been developed. His eyes were sharp, as if he could see through people's hearts. Under the dim light, he noticed some unusual details-some strange shadows loomed in the background of the photo, their shapes were irregular and seemed to be moving. An ominous premonition surged in his heart. As a photographer, he was used to capturing moments, but this discovery seemed beyond his understanding. His divination and foreknowledge instinct told him that these shadows were not just flaws in the photos, they foreshadowed an impending disaster in the town. He gently put down the photos, walked to the bookshelf, and took out an ancient divination book. The pages were yellowed and the edges were worn, but the symbols and patterns on them were still clear. Benjamin flipped open the book, looking for possible explanations related to these shadows. He knew that he had to find out where these shadows came from and what they portended. It was late at night, and only a small light was still on in Benjamin's darkroom. He sat at the table with several divination books and some scattered notes spread out in front of him. His fingers gently stroked the pages of the book, his brows furrowed, and his eyes flashed with worry about the unknown. He began a series of divinations, trying to interpret these omens. He used Tarot cards to lay out a complex formation, each card representing a possible future. He lit another candle and let the smoke swirl in the air to form various patterns. Benjamin's heart was filled with a sense of urgency, and he knew that time was running out. As the divination progressed, he felt a deep sense of uneasiness. The images shown on the cards were chaotic and blurred, and the patterns formed by the smoke were difficult to interpret. He felt that these shadows were closely linked to the fate of the town, and they might be a harbinger of some supernatural power. Benjamin decided to take action. He knew that he had to find the answer as soon as possible, otherwise the town might face unforeseen dangers. He began to investigate in the town, interviewing those who might know the secret of the shadows. He questioned the older residents, consulted the town's historical records, and even visited some forgotten ruins. His investigation led him to some disturbing facts. The history of the town is full of mysterious events and unsolved mysteries, and these shadows seem to have some connection with these events. Benjamin feels that he is getting closer to the truth, but the truth may be much more complicated than he thought. Benjamin sat alone in the dark room, his eyes flashing with worry about the unknown. He knew that he had to continue looking for answers, even if it meant he had to face the truth he feared most. It was late at night, and Emily, Sophia, Alex, and Benjamin were all worried about their future. It seemed that their lives had all reached a turning point, and they had to make choices, and these choices would determine their fate.
