Young Alpha

1st period

Chapter 4

            “Just have my back, Guys this is going to get interesting and today is just the start.”

    As we enter the school it's too quiet, I'm on edge ready for anything. ‘ they are probably already in the gym waiting.’ Sally says on alert she is pacing back and forth making me more and more restless.      ‘ calm down Sal. you're making me restless.’ 

    Entering the gym it hits me like a truck the most amazing smell, I take a deep inhale it is Mountain Irises. The smell is now fully enveloping me. Sally is now prancing around happy and howling ‘MATE’ she says in a deep howl. 

        ‘s**t girl keep it together we will find him but we need to keep it together so we can complete this day so stay strong.’ I take one last deep breath and try to hold it in as I push away the smell that's taking me over.

     There is no helping as I walk closer to my seat, the one closest to the podium, it gets stronger and stronger as expected. It's one of the Alpha boys that is sitting there waiting. Each boy I pass smiles at me they all have gotten to know me and my reputation over the years. The smell gets stronger and stronger, I reach the last boy and the smell is the strongest, I continue to my seat ignoring him completely. 

    I can feel his eyes on me but I refuse to look at him. I'm fighting every urge to go and straddle him and nuzzle into his neck taking his scent in fully and claiming him as mine letting every she-wolf know that he is mine and no one else.

     I take my time and look around at all the students taking them all in as I do. I finally turn to look at the teachers. I recognize a few from all the packs, but I don't care about them. I want to see him, I want to see that coward.

     That's when my eyes land on him. XAVER ‘such a disgraceful Alpha’ Sal says growling ‘Don't even call him that.’ .  He's standing against the wall of the gym eyes glued on my body sending an obvious shiver down my spine. He smirks as our eyes bore into each other, he pushes off the wall to start walking towards me, eyes still in a lock. Boring into each other challenging me to look away I feel trapped I can't look away. I feel a hand on my shoulder and a low inaudible growl so only meant for me 

        “ little hore cant keep her eyes off unmated men.” I turn to see his eyes ‘how dare he say that to us.’ Sally growls out ‘its ok Sal didn't pay attention to his father when we got pranced around his pack last year we only saw him one time that whole week.’  I tell her to try and encourage her a little. I lift my eyes to meet him and suck in a breath the world seems to stop, “mate” I let out in a breathless whisper. He only nods before turning away to look back at the group of students. 

    I turn to see Sam walking out of the office. I look forward but I can still feel Xaver’s gaze on my body but I know that he stopped when I turned around. Sam reaches the microphone, 

        “ Wolves as you know this is the first time any of our kind has tried this I expect each and everyone of you to behave and respect each other I am Beta Sam Silver of Moon Pride Pack.” he stops looking over all the students with a smile on his face. “ I will be the headmaster of this school each pack has appointed a Representative for the school to their pack, any and all issues should be contacted to them and they will come to me as needed Teachers all repost to me and Alpha Xaver and all punishments with the exception of detention will be decided on by both of us.” Sam scanned the crowd once more “ Now 1st period will be held here together to get to know each other and with-in each pack.'' 

    The students started talking and laughing and the teachers all just nodded in agreement before standing up and leaving all with the exception of Xaver. I'm looking at Sam but I can feel Xaver’s eyes on me even as he walks to his office and I hear him close the door and he's looking out the window at me still. I am only pulled out of this feeling of being watched by Sam 

        “ Representatives please come with me.” and turns to leave us all standing up. I bow my head slightly as a sign of respect for their blood out ranks mine. As my mate passes me he sends a scoff. I try to shove it all off as something that I'm hearing things.

     I follow the guys down the hall to a room with mail boxes next to it with all of our names printed onto them. “This will be your office. They are not fancy in any way but they will do, there is a waiting room and separate rooms with doors so you can decorate them as you see fit any changes made to the waiting room should be made together.” He opens the door allowing us all to enter. “ You have boxes on the outside for any needed papers when you're not available, each of you will have Two keys in your assigned office one for your personal door and one for the waiting room door.” He turns lookin at every boy then landing on me “ I'll leave you to get better acquainted with each other if you need anything don't hesitate to ask me.” He turned to leave and I bowed slightly smirking at the stupidity of the situation 

        “ Beta” I say in a flat tone . 

    I close the door behind him and turn to the boys who all have already made themself comfortable on the various pieces of furniture.  “ As you all know who I am, I figured I should start with the introductions .” I say with a simple smile. “ I am Izabell pack warrior of Silver Ridge. As I said I've met all of you in the last Two years some more then others, you've all seen my skill and talent that is why i am the representative for my pack now. “ Silence they all just looked at me like I was crazy for even speaking I just cleared my throat and nodded, for them to continue.

          “ I am Adam Hunt of Night Keepers. It's a pleasure to see you again IZ.” he has always been a sweet boy always asking me to help train him and visit him again and again. 

        “ I'm Alex Griffin, of the White Pack you've always been an amazing fighter and no doubt a leader for your pack, Izabell.” Frank stood up and walked over to me grabbing my hand 

        “ Beautiful as always my bell I was hoping to be your mate my dear Izabell.” you can see my mate fighting the urge to kill him and all the boys. I pull my hand out of his grasp .” I am Frank Court of Evercrest Pack.” he finishes with a grumble. He's always had an infatuation with me and my strength, I always believed he knows who I really am. 

        “I am Theo Reynolds futre Alpha of Shadow Bane Pack, I look forward to strengthening our pack alliances with you gentlemen.” he says looking at the boys but not at me. Frank lets out a scoff “ we are all future Alphas.'' With an eye roll I can't help but let out a small giggle. 

        “ Ah but we aren't. I don't understand why they would appoint a woman and a weak and low woman at that as a representative for their pack.” My mate's words hurt like a dagger ‘ How dare he insult us’ Sally growls fighting to take control ‘ he doesn't know us yet Sal’ I close my eyes and take a deep breath in

         “ I wouldn't….” 

    I cut off Alex before he can continue. I can see Frank grinning like a kid in a candy store, “As I said I am Izabell or IZ like Adam said. I am not some dainty doll, Frank as you know or do I need to kick your ass again?” I say with a smile and I kick off the seat I was sitting on. 

        “Our pack lost our Alpha Two years ago his son took over leaving no Alpha or Beta blooded person in our pack in our age groups. So I was granted this position as I am the strongest Warrior in all Packs or did you not  pay attention when I put Six of your warriors in the hospital for a month last year? “ I say as I stare directly in his eyes I will win this challenge, even if he didnt mean to issue it. I smirked at him. 

    I can feel the other Three boys holding back laughter at Theo rooted in his spot. I turn around before anyone thinks of my challenge too closely “ Or maybe it was when I killed Two full grown Beta and Gamma when I was Fourteen?” I let out a sigh “ you should really pay more attention when people come on to your pack land, Alpha.” the last bit dripping with sarcasm.
