Every day was the same. I was up at dawn and forced to work constantly throughout the entire day. It was barely dawn when my breakfast arrived the fifth morning. “Hurry up and eat,” the guard said. “We’ve got a huge pile for you to move today.” I’m not sure where the we comes into play. So far I’ve been the only one on the crew that did any work. The other three guys just stood around and kept pushing me harder and harder. They took me to the other side of town where years of garbage had been piled. They wanted it loaded into trucks before I would be allowed to quit. Things went a little slower today.
