Prologue
Wheatland is the county seat for Canyon County and had initially been created as a small railroad stop at the turn of the century where the trains traveling through would stop to take on water for their thirsty steam engines.
It is mostly desert area with vast scablands and deep canyons created from the ancient Missoula Ice Dam bursts that flooded and carved the region thousands of years ago.
The soil washed from the land scoured by the floods settled in great deposits that provided rich soil nutrients for a variety of crops.
A defunct World War Two Air Force Base sits in the center of this vast region near Moses Lake, Wa. where the aircraft industry has assumed control over the Base and is valued as a pilot training center for world airlines.
Local residents have been offered a steady job with good pay and benefits, to support the aviation training industry.
Today Wheatland, Washington is the County seat of Canyon County, and has a fair and healthy population of 1,100 citizens from all ethnicities and income levels.
A slow but steady influx of Methamphetamine, Heroin, Fentanyl, Cocaine and illicit m*******a Grow sites brought organized gangs and increased violence and a means for enterprising young men to get rich.
