Chapter 4
John Adams
John Adams had got up early, about 6:00 A.M., and dressed for the Fitness Gym Center in town where he would do hard workouts with the business owner Rufus Jennings, who had become a close friend.
They were both single and would share their stories of conquest they had with the local women and had no secrets from each other.
John turned on his computer and sat in front of the screen to print out bids to drop off at the local Mortgage Company later that morning
“I’m going out to the truck and warm it up, it’s damn cold,” he thought as he grabbed the keys and headed for the door.
While waiting for his pick-up to warm up, he would go back inside to his warm kitchen and have a glass of protein drink and a protein bar to fuel his body as part of his hard core exercise regime.
As John stepped onto the front porch he saw movement by his truck and easily spotted Ryan crouched by his truck door.
He yelled at Ryan and stepped off his front porch.
He heard a loud blast and immediately felt a hard impact and numbing in his left chest area and felt like the breath had been knocked from him.
He turned and stumbled into his house and bumped into the computer table trying to reach his cell phone that was lying on the computer table, knocking it off onto the floor where it slid from sight.
He was gasping and fell face forward on the kitchen floor and knew he was going to die on the floor.
He lowered his head and the last of his lifeblood pumped from his body.
