Chapter 11
Sgt. Harmon came back to the Incident Command vehicle and located Det Ralston Hannigan, Det. Joel Fitz and Det. Ben Skates in the meeting room.
“Sgt. Harmon, has anything helpful been found since the murder?” Det. Hannigan asked.
“There were only two people that had heard what they thought was a gunshot but had not seen anyone or vehicles leaving the neighborhood, with the exception of Kat Bates who lived about 1/2 block away from John Adams. She told me about 6:30 A.M. she was in her backyard after letting her dogs out to do their duty when she had observed a black car driving through the alley south bound really fast and only one person was in the car,” as he paused to breathe.
“She thought it was a woman that was driving,” he finished.
“Thanks,” Hannigan said with a sigh
