Chapter 18 Detective Tom Zollars and Joel Fitz walked over to the County jail, and after locking their weapons in a lock box, were allowed entry into the confines of the jail. “We’re here to see Ryan Bates, if you could bring him down to the interview room,” Tom Zollars said to the control room operator, who was stationed in a booth surrounded by bullet proof glass windows.
