Two weeks had gone by as the investigation slowed to a crawl for the CBIT team.
The Washington State Patrol Lab Report for any DNA collected from the spent shell casing came back, and they identified an individual’s DNA belonging to Officer Matt Winslow.
“What a fricken i***t, he must have picked the shell casing up with his bare hand,” said Det. Fritz.
“I think he was probably carrying the 45 Cal. shell casing around in his coat pocket after he picked it up and placed it in a small plastic bag,” he said.
