CHAPTER 1

As I regained consciousness, my eyes slowly fluttered open, only to be met with an inky blackness that seemed to swallow me whole. I was trapped, with no hint of where I was or how I got there. A low, menacing chuckle broke the silence, and a figure emerged from the shadows. "My oh my...see who we got here" outburst a strange man with a smirk on his face as he walked in. A handsome-looking man with a devilish aura all over him that will make you think of him as a monster. Looking like a perfect being; his sun-kissed skin color shimmers through his face with his golden-brown eyes. His stylishly cut afro added a touch of sophistication to the overall look with a few loose hairs elegantly falling across his face, pairing well with his sleek silver suit and glossy black shoes. A mare look at him will tell this man is one hell of a rich man. Judging by his appearance, he should be in his late twenties. No doubt, he is good-looking with his nice sculptured face and well-built body. "Hey, I'm talking to you." he waved his hands as he called for my attention. "I can see my looks have caught your attention," he smirked, "all you see..." Pointing all over his body "can be all yours if..." "Who are you, and how did I get here?" I cut him off knowing well he was trying to get under my skin...how annoying he can be. In a filthy darkroom tied to a wooden armed chair that is not fitted to my butts. I've got a well-curved butt, average height, green eyes, and a long gray curled hair which matched perfectly well with my pale skin. "How did I end up here?" I thought to myself. Now, I must admit that I'm terrified as I access the dimly lit room with a tiny window situated precariously high above the floor. The faint light reflection emanating from it allows me to catch a glimpse. I wonder how on earth I got here, and this simply means I'm being abducted. I try to remember how, if only 'he' would let me think as I look at the man standing right in front of me. "Meena," he called out my name. "How did you know my name? How did I get here?" I kept on asking. "How long have I been out?" "For three hours" he replied. "Why respond to only one of my questions" I queried, frustration creeping into my voice "You look so cute when u are so inquisitive -I like that. But first, let's get you something to eat. You just regained consciousness and must be hungry." The moment he said that; my tummy growled at the word food. I was so curious, terrified, and anxious to remember how hungry I was. He left the room, coming back with two pretty nicely dressed ladies, both with trays of food with different kinds of delicacies with a very strong, inviting aroma. One can easily tell the food will be delicious. But wait, will I eat that? I don't know who this man is and why he's holding me hostage. "Here, Meena, eat as much as you can; you look worn out. I bet you need plenty of these," he said, offering the food as the ladies dropped the trays filled with enticing food, that are irresistible. "How do you expect me to eat that? I know nothing about you," I paused to see his reaction. "Do I know if the food is poisoned?" I uttered, more like I was whispering. Truly, as he said, I'm worn out and struggling to understand why I feel so drained as if I've been wandering through a desolate landscape for months. "Hahaha," he laughed as he locked his eyes to mine, "you think you wouldn't be dead by now, if my intentions were to kill you, ugh?" He's right, but not as if I cared, I wasn't going to say no to such delicacies staring at me, asking me to devour them. I only felt the need to project strength and maintain a brave facade, despite being consumed by fear on the inside. "How do you expect me to eat with my hands tied?" I asked, looking down this time, a bit shy of my outburst. "I guess someone finally opened up," he smirked, "let me excuse you to eat, I'll be back soon." He said as one of the ladies untied me. He left alongside the beautiful ladies. Exactly what I needed -to be alone and eat freely. Back at my thoughts as I nearly devoured the entire trays of food, so surprised I found myself eating like a glutton. Despite having satisfied my physical hunger, my desire for answers remained unabated. An insatiable urge to uncover the truth about my situation lingered, and as I reflected on it, a startling realization suddenly dawned on me. It was a cold evening, and I was with my friends at the beach on the East coast of Medaline City, Agape Town. A good way to spend my work-free day, soaking up the sun at the beach. After a lively game of tag along the shore, I retreated to a beach bed to recharge. But as I drifted off, a sudden, intense pressure on my face sent me tumbling into darkness. Here I am in a filthy room, tied up on a small wooden armchair. Luckily for me, I wasn't wearing a bikini -putting on a knee-length free gown. Revealing only the wrist and legs. "I can see you fed well." The strange man walked in majestically and smiled mockingly, his gaze falling upon the two trays, which now held significantly less food than before. Shy on how I could eat that much, I didn't respond or look up. "Why do you have me here?" I asked still facing down. "You should at least say thanks for the food, don't be ungrateful," he said mockingly. Really? He wants me to thank him. Being held captive by this person was bad enough, but his expectation of appreciation was galling. I felt my anger and frustration building, straining to be unleashed. "Hmm, you must be a tough one," he said with a calm yet mean tone. "Untie my hands and I'll show you just how tough I can be," I said, meeting his gaze with a fierce stare, my eyes locked intensely on his. I can't believe I said that, but I meant it. Adding my frustration and eagerness to escape, the willingness to face whatever might be the obstacle strokes so hard. "I can see my food is reviving your strength" he smirked with a devilish smile. I started feeling completely embarrassed and helpless. He sure knows exactly how to get under my skin. "What's your game? Did you bring me here just to make fun of me? It's obvious your life is a mess - your work or lack thereof, is clearly not fulfilling. You're so desperate for a distraction that you've stopped to abduction. How pathetic." I sneered, my resentment simmering. "Don't be so rude, lady, 'cause I don't get funny when I'm pissed," he cautioned with a fierce stare and walked away. "Hey, where do you think you're going? Get me out of here. Let me go!" I screamed with the highest volume my voice could carry. I must have pissed him off, and I do feel bad for what I said - me being not the type that talks rudely. But I had to, or else I'd completely feel intimidated. I don't know what time it is or what's going on. He wouldn't say anything. I shouldn't have said what I said, perhaps he would have revealed his motives behind my abduction. Being trapped in this room feels like a never-ending nightmare. The fact that he hasn't physically harmed me is a little consolation, but the confinement itself is a cruel punishment. The door creaked open after an interminable wait, and two towering figures with broad shoulders strode in.
