Her Second Chance Alpha

Chapter Six

A couple of hours had passed and there was still no sign of Elijah. I wonder if he would let me stay. He seemed so annoyed that the rogues would dare cross the border onto his land… What if he felt that way about me being here? What if I get thrown in the dungeon? My wolf scoffed and rolled her eyes ‘He had every opportunity to do that earlier don’t you think?’ she said with so much sarcasm all I could do was roll my eyes in response. She was right I was probably just over thinking. Beth poked my arm which made me yelp and hold it tightly as if in pain, as I looked at her with a frown.

“OW! What was that for?!” I said continuing to frown and stare at her.

“You weren’t listening to me and it was important” she huffed, crossing her arms in front of her as we both sat facing each other on her bed.

Cameron had left just after breakfast to go and train so we went on a tour around the house, where Beth showed me everywhere and explained the places where I was allowed and where I was not. No one was permitted on the top floor of the house apart from the Alpha, this was the same for all packs so it was no surprise that I wasn’t allowed up there, the second and third floor is also only permitted for the Beta and third in command to enter with their mates and family, or unless you were accompanied by them. It made me so curious to see what was up there. Being the Beta’s daughter in the Crimson Shadow Pack allowed me to go on nearly every floor when I was younger in my old pack house, so exploring was just something I was used to. Sticking to these new rules would be hard, but I was willing to follow them in the hope they would let me stay.

I looked up to see Beth frowning at me with pointed look as I realised I had lost all concentration in our conversation again. “I’m sorry… what was important?” I said trying to keep in a giggle.

“Your. Birthday. Party.” Her tone serious and not amused.

“What do you mean my party? I was told I wasn’t allowed to attend remember…” she put her hand up stopping me mid-sentence.

“No silly, we are throwing you a party, at the Blue Moon Pack, it’s not every day you turn 18! Besides you could find your mate in this pack…” she said with a huge grin as she raised her eyebrows and winked at me “I’ve got some dresses in here if you want to try some on…” She stood and skipped over to her walk in closet full of happiness.

“Erm I really don’t think Alpha Clearly would appreciate you throwing a party for someone who isn’t part of your pack… especially someone he didn’t even say could stay here.” I shook my head refusing to move as she came out carrying about 5 dresses on coat hangers in each hand, all a variety of different colours, lengths and styles.

“Well it’s a good thing that he was the one that said to throw it then isn’t it? Oh, he also said it will be a good opportunity for you to meet your new pack if you wanted to stay with us” Her smile was so wide I thought it was going to stretch off her face as she looked at me excitement in her eyes.

I wasn’t used to having a female friend, so playing dress up wasn’t something I was used to, but her smile was infectious and it made me laugh and suddenly I didn’t feel my pain from home any more. I laughed at her response in disbelief. Why would an alpha who doesn’t know me want to throw me a birthday party? Did they do this for everyone? ‘He wants us to stay’ my wolf howled in excitement.

“Why is he doing this?” I asked Beth with a confused look on my face.

She shrugged and pouted “I don’t know… maybe he feels sorry for you or something?”

“But he doesn’t even know why I am here…” I couldn’t help but look into her eyes trying to search for an honest answer.

She let out a loud sigh and sat beside me on the bed before continuing “Cameron was training with the alpha today. He told him everything. We can’t keep secrets in this pack, especially not with an Alpha like Cleary.” She looked at my face and smiled hoping I wouldn’t be mad. “I don’t know what else has been said, all I know is that Alpha Clearly mind linked me saying we are throwing you a party and to make sure you were dressed for the occasion by 7pm.”

I looked up on the wall where a rose gold stylish clock hung with the time showing it was already 6pm. I jumped up immediately with so much excitement I couldn’t even control it. The day started with me being banished and thinking I would be homeless but now all of a sudden I am being welcomed to a new pack and they are throwing a party for me? “Come on then we best hurry up and get ready.” I said grabbing Beth’s arm and leading her to the wardrobe so we could pick something together, before feeling her tug me back to the bed where I forgot about all the dresses lay in a heap. She lay them all out separately, but there was so many that I decided to let her choose as she had way better fashion sense than me and I headed to the bathroom to have a quick shower.

I came out of the shower and seen she had lay out a Black dress with long sleeves. A set of black open toed black heels which intertwined at the front before tying just above the ankle. She pulled my gaze away by handing me a small Victoria Secret bag and shoving me back towards the bathroom. “Put them on” she said with a serious tone as if to say ‘don’t question me just do it.’ I looked at her confused before closing the door and looking inside the bag. My eyes went wide, she’s got to be joking! “Hurry up we need to do your hair and makeup” I heard her scream from the other side of the door. I looked at the door then back at the bag in disbelief but let out a sigh and reached for the contents of the bag knowing I would not win the argument. I pulled out a black, laced bra. The cups were a black net material, which you could see straight through. I held it up in front of my face and looked at myself in the mirror behind the bra. I put it on and hooked it at the front, adjusting myself to fit comfortably. It lifted my breasts up perfectly so they were a perfect round shape with a breath taking cleavage. My C cup breasts normally just hung in my bras, but after seeing this and feeling the support I knew I had been wearing the wrong size all along. Next I pulled out a black laced thong and put it on. Staring at myself in the mirror I was in complete shock, I looked amazing. Placing the towel back round me I quickly exited the bathroom before Beth started to worry.

Beth curled my hair into long bouncy curls, like how she had hers the first day we met, we stuck to bronze and cream for my eye shadow and added a simple cat eye flick with eyeliner and thin eyelashes which extended longer on the outside of my eyes compared to the shorted length on the inside of my eye. We chose a nude colour lip gloss as we didn’t want to go OTT. I got dressed and walked into the walk in closet to look at myself in the long stand up mirror. The reflection didn’t even look like me. The dress was plain black and stopped just after my knees, it hung on my every curve with a low neck line showing off my breasts, and with this new bra, I wasn’t going to complain. I wore small diamond studs for earrings and a simple silver necklace to match. The heels made my legs look longer than normal and brought out what little tan I had and also made my butt look way bigger than it usually did. I looked hot. Like something out of a magazine. Beth quickly came to my side in a red PV, body-con dress, which I’m not going to lie, looked painful to wear. She had her hair straight and wore knee high black boots with similar makeup to me. She was stunning. We admired ourselves for a little too long before I looked at the clock and gasped.

“Beth its 7.20!!” I quickly ran out of the wardrobe and waited for her to follow.

“Relax! I already mind linked them half an hour ago and said we we’re still getting ready. Besides it’s your party. You’re not late. Everyone else is just early.” She smiled at me making all my worry disappear as I giggled at her response.

“Should we go now?” I smiled back at her hoping she would say yes. I suddenly felt really nervous I’m guessing she sensed it, as she reached for my hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze as she led us both out of her bedroom and down the stairs to the main foyer.
