After the Fall
The mountain finally stopped shaking.. The Sanctuary of the Heart was still groaning. Dust was falling from the ceiling. Old pillars were breaking into pieces. Hitting the marble floor. It was very quiet. Nobody was talking. Even the wolves that Kael had were hiding. They were walking around the room with their ears back. They were scared. This made Aria more scared.
She looked at the silver ring in her hand. It felt warm. The Moon Mark on her wrist was beating slowly.
“The second key…" she said quietly.
Damien grabbed her wrist.
“We are going now.”
Alaric said yes.
“The Sanctuary is not safe anymore.”
The floor cracked again. Silver light came out from under the stone.
