Beneath the Mountain
A scream came from beneath the fortress. It was not loud. It was worse than loud. The scream was distant and distorted. It was filled with a terror that made every wolf in the Great Hall stiffen up. Then there was silence. No one said a word. Damien was already on the move. He called out to his Beta, Vance.
Vance stepped beside him.
Damien told him to come with him.
He looked over at Magnus. Said to seal every level below the eastern wing. No one was to enter or leave without him saying so. Magnus said it would be done.
Damien turned to Dr. Evelyn. Told her to take Aria somewhere safe, but Aria did not want to go. She said she was coming with Damien. She did not want to stay while everyone talked about her like she was some kind of cursed object.
