He looked really upset. His researchers exchanged looks but wisely didn't say anything.
Finally Kael spoke.
"Leave."
In a few seconds the laboratory was empty. Only his top scientist, Dr. Cassian Rourke stayed. The older man adjusted his glasses before studying the dark crystal.
"It has never shown a vision without being told to."
Kael's eyes never left the stone.
"No."
"It hasn't."
Cassian hesitated.
"Do you think the Echo has become aware of her?"
Kael's expression got harder.
"It was always aware."

"…why is it showing her to us now?"
