Chapter Six: Tease Me, Feel Me ANABETH COLLINS "I-I'm sorry, I thought you were..." I trailed off, not knowing if what I was about to say was appropriate. He already caught me in an awkward situation. Should I really admit that I was supposed to seduce his twin?! Realization dawned on his face and I saw his eyes reflecting disappointment when the light seeping through the curtain hit them, but it was quickly gone that I had to ask myself if I really saw it. I thought he'd give up and get off me, but my breath hitched when his face was suddenly in front of me. I can smell his aftershave and he smelled of cigarettes and mint. I am often turned off by the smell, but why does he smell so good? Why do I feel the urge to close my eyes and bury my nose in his skin? "We share the same face, don't we? You can pretend I am him," he said, his warm breath fanning my face. His fingertip was suddenly on my skin, and I gasped softly. "I can pretend to be him and you can moan his name. I don't mind. But in return... you must let me do whatever I want with your body." His finger trailed down, and I trembled beneath his touch. My breath hitched when his finger stopped at my belly button, teasing me by playing through the garter of the thong I was wearing. "P-Please..." I muttered pathetically and I don't know what I was pleading for. "Please, what? More?" He asked with an evil smirk on his face that made him ten times more attractive. His other hand trailed up my arm, running his finger through my exposed skin until they reached my neck. I gasped when he softly wrapped his hand around my neck, teasing my sensitive spot. "I have to warn you that I'm not a gentle lover though." 'What the fudge are you doing, Anabeth?! Why are you letting a stranger touch you?!' Using whatever strength I have, considering my body has gotten weak because of his touch, I pushed him off me and stood on shaking legs. "It was a sincere mistake and I'm really sorry, uhm..." I stopped, not knowing his name. "Uriah at your service," he mockingly bowed his head and sat on his legs, his dark eyes still intently looking at me. "Remember it so you'll know what name you will scream next time." My cheeks flushed and I turned around before he could see it, hugging myself to try and cover myself as much as I could. I snatched my robe and put it on, but I can still feel his eyes drilling a hole on my back. I held the knob and paused, slightly turning to the side, opening my mouth but closing it when I couldn't find anything to say and finally left. When I went back to the party, both Monique and Irah were nowhere to be found. I also noticed that some of the people have already left. I quietly left and just sent a text message to my best friend to let her know I left first. I sighed in relief when she replied that she will stay at the party and that she will see me tomorrow. When I got home, Mom was already asleep so I quietly went to my room, removed the offending pieces of clothes I was wearing, and plopped down on my bed. I stared at the ceiling and I bit my lip when I saw Uriah's face. My body where he touched me is still tingling. 'What if I didn't stop him? What if I let him... have his way with me?' I shook my head to get rid of those thoughts, but curiosity got the best of me. I tried to sleep but couldn't shake him out of my head. "How come Irah never mentioned him? I'm sure there must be a reason." When sleep finally visited me, it was already dawn, and I woke up a few years later with a headache and messy hair. "Ugh! Why can't I get him out of my head?!" I grumbled to myself before practically dragging myself to do my morning routine. When I arrived at school, I saw Monique skipping with a bright smile on her face. "Hey, Beth! It's such a nice morning, isn't it?!" She exclaimed in a high-pitched voice and I stared at her weirdly. "You look awfully happy. What happened to you?" I asked when we started walking to our first class. Monique sighed dreamily. "Oh, you wouldn't believe what happened to me, friend. It was... perfect." I gave him a strange look again and only then she noticed the grim look on my face. "You look terrible, Beth. Don't tell me you failed?" She asked, looking shocked. I rolled my eyes and shook my head. "Can you believe that I almost seduced his twin instead? I didn't even know he had a twin!" Monique let out a loud gasp and she was all over me in a second, inspecting me from head to toe. "Are you okay?! Did he hurt you? Did he...?" She trailed off and my eyes widened. "No! He didn't hurt me and he didn't do anything to me." I answered, almost defensively and she sighed in relief. "That man is dangerous, Beth. Uriah King is the next in line to lead a dangerous Mafia clan of which his Uncle is the current leader. They kill innocent people and they do so many bad things." "How did you know all of that?" I asked in confusion because up until last night, she too, had no idea Irah had a twin. Monique's eyes widened as she paled. "I-I uhm, I heard from somewhere last night when I stayed." She stuttered and I narrowed my eyes at her but she started yanking me. "Let's go! We'll be late!" My confusion over her knowledge completely flew out the window, especially when the day started with a hard test. To make matters worse, I see Uriah King everywhere! His face appears on the papers I was reading, in my mind, and I can even see his face on my classmates' faces! When classes were over, I dragged myself to the P.E class next. I felt so lethargic that I just wanted to go home and sleep. Unfortunately, I have a future I need to prepare for. Mom is right. I have been slacking and I need to take things seriously. To be a nurse like her has always been my dream, and I want to fulfill it. When it was time to change, I chose the other restroom because fewer students use it. I entered with my uniform in hand and stopped when I heard lewd sounds coming from one of the cubicles. They were trying to muffle it, but they are not really doing a good job. My face scrunched up in disgust at the public display of indecency. 'What in the guacamole? How could they do such a thing in a place where people could hear them!' I gagged when I heard loud banging and heard a man grunting in pleasure. I turned to leave, when my feet automatically stopped when I hears two familiar voices inside. I remained rooted to my spot in shock, and I was rendered speechless. 'I'm hearing things, aren't I? There is no way she'd do that to me.' Tears started falling from my eyes and it was like an invisible force was gripping my heart, and I couldn't breathe. I heard the sound of the door opening, followed by a loud gasp and a curse from a man. Part of me wanted to run away without confirming my suspicions, but another part of me wanted to know the truth. "Beth..." My heart shattered when I heard my best friend's voice calling my name and when I finally had the courage to look at them, I almost broke down when I saw Irah, the man I have been admiring all these years, beside her. "Beth, I'm sorry—" I didn't let her finish her explanation and fled, as if it would prevent me from hurting. I ran without caring where I was going, my tears going with the wind.
