Chapter 9 - Rising Moon Pack

2138 Words
Matteo’s POV I decided to change how we greeted our guests after a discussion with Alpha Ronan to ensure they wouldn’t feel disrespected. Seeing as a human will be one of our visitors, we decided to omit the traditional greeting with the whole Alpha team present outside the pack house. After discussing it with Alpha Ronan, I decided to greet them alone so it didn’t come across as weird in human terms. As far as the human is concerned, I am supposed to just be a business contact to Jorah’s father. I also decided it would make more sense to greet them at the villa and help them get settled in there. . I have a colazione abbondante (big breakfast) being delivered to their villa by our kitchen staff so they can eat and then sleep. Alpha Ronan agree that this would make more sense and let me know he would communicate everything to his brother. I have two of my elite warriors meeting them at the airport to drive them to our territory and directly to their villa. I also made sure that Alpha Ronan passed on my personal cell phone number and he gave me Jorah’s, since we wouldn’t be able to mind-link each other seeing as we are from different packs. I wanted to ensure if they had a problems they could get in touch with me via phone call or text. After they have rested and are ready to explore, they can text me and I will give them a tour of our pack lands. All of this has been communicated to Jorah and I just sent him a welcome text that he will see when he first lands. Everything is well planned and I just have to execute that plan. Hosting other Alphas is always a big deal, even if they are not the acting Alpha for their pack. Seeing as this Alpha is also part of the big six, the six largest packs of the world one for each continent except Antarctica. Antartica is not hospitable for werewolves. It is an even bigger deal with a big six pack so it is essential we make a good impression. As they say first impressions are important so making sure this first greeting goes well can set the tone for the rest of their time here. Alpha Ronan seems to be a pretty serious and sensible Alpha. We have gotten along well ever since he became Alpha and I had a good rapport with his father, Alpha Michael, before Alpha Ronan took over. I am hoping hosting his brother and friend will build on our positive relationship for our future interactions. I just got a mind-link from the warriors that picked up our guests informing me that they just passed through the packs front gates. It will be about twenty minutes by car for them to get to the villa. I sent a quick all pack mind-link to ensure my pack members were aware that our guests have arrived and are now in our territory. They all know about our new shifting rules and also that we will have another Alpha in our pack. It is important they know another Alpha is here for two main reasons. One, they don’t get scared. Two, they show the utmost respect. I just hope I made that point clear to all the unmated she-wolves so they don’t embarrass me. I heard from Alpha Ronan that Jorah is only interested in his mate so she-wolves throwing themselves at him may feel disrespectful to him. I hope if he encounters any that he understands. The only real way to ensure none of them do throw themselves at him will be if I Alpha commanded them all. I don’t want to do that, an Alpha command hurts. I save alpha commands for when it is absolutely necessary and it shouldn’t be necessary in the case. After I got the link from the warriors, I quickly file the paperwork I was working on and walk over to the villa to be there before their arrival. Apollo, my wolf, starts pacing around in my head. He has been doing that the last week or so, but right now it is almost like he is prancing and I can feel his anxiety. ‘What’s up Apollo?’ ‘I don’t know, I’m feeling on edge. Like something is going to happen soon’ ‘I’ll double up on patrols, make sure we are covered’ ‘I don’t think it will be a bad thing coming. I don’t know it is very confusing. I’ve never felt like this before’ ‘Do you think it has to do with another Alpha on our territory?’ ‘I don’t know, could be’ ‘Okay, let’s meet these guests and then we will check the boarders. I’ll double patrols for now just in case as well’ I mind-link to Bruno, he is my Delta in charge of patrols, and let him know to double up patrols and report anything out of the ordinary, no matter how small and then cut the link. I continue to walk briskly to the guest villa so I am still there before our guests. Amelia’s POV After we land and made it through customs, we grabbed our luggage and walked to the exit area. I saw two very large, very sexy men walking towards us and couldn’t help but smile. American men have nothing on Italian men, sorry Jorah. To my surprise the two men greeted Jorah and I, I guess they were sent the pick us up by Uncle Michael’s business associate. Fine by me, they were some nice eye candy. I may be looking for a soulmate, but a girl can look and not touch, right? The two men who I learned were named, Luca and Aldo. I love hearing the Italian names and my oh my the accent, so yummy. Jorah sees my reaction and smirks at me and I couldn’t help but blush. How embarrassing, he is not going to let me live this down. Once the luggage is loaded into a black Rolls-Royce Cullinan, holy crap this car is luxury. We head to the villa. Aldo let us know it would take about an hour to arrive at the community and about half an hour to get to the villa itself. He said the community in the countryside and a bit off the beaten path. Sounds perfect to me. The ride was quiet with the exception of the radio and a bit of talking between Aldo and Luca. I think Jorah and I were just absorbing our surroundings. Neither of us got much solid sleep, even if first class was better than coach so we were running on excitement at this point. Just like Aldo had said, about an hour later we arrived at a large intricately designed iron gate that was painted with gold details. What appeared to be a guard station was next to the gate, it was much like Jorah’s family’s community entrance. Do all wealthy people live in communities like this, I guess so. The landscape just kept getting more breathtaking the more we drove. There were beautiful rolling hills, I could see a vineyard in the distance with a large structure that look like a rambling tuscan villa overlooking the vineyard and there was a huge area with tables that had pergolas with trellised vines providing shade that seemed to meander down with the hill itself. As we continued to drive we started seeing what looked like a village or town, it was so picturesque and screamed Italy to me, with its stone footpaths that wound between the buildings with vines climbing on the structures themselves. There were archways that gave glimpses of what was beyond. I was in love! As we drive past people on the way, they all smiled and either waved or nodded a greeting. It was weird if truth be told. Are we the only new people or something? Luca must have seen my confusion because he let me know that an announcement was sent out and everyone in the community is excited about the Americans coming. Well that’s a first, I always heard that Americans weren’t liked much by other countries because they come off as entitled and rude by European standards. Maybe that is just a misconception on my part. I guess there isn’t going to be a way to blend-in in a subtle way like I was hoping. I’m not a fan of being the center of attention, so this should be interesting. I also hope my Italian is up to pare, I have been learning for ten years so I am fluent. But fluent in textbook learned language is different than fluent in the conversational language. I just hope I can keep up and don’t look like a fool or even worse, I say something wrong and insult someone accidentally. I know Jorah will have no problem, he has always been so good withlanguages. He doesn’t even have to try, hence the reason he is studying linguistics. Me on the other hand, I have had to work for ten years and still don’t have the confidence or skills I should. Jorah said that once I am immersed in it it will all click, I hope he is right. As we pull up closer to a large villa I see the most gorgeous man I have ever seen standing outside. I mean jaw dropping, panty wetting gorgeous. I couldn’t help but stare, then I realized we were slowing down to park and I can only assume that this large villa is ours for the year. Does the gorgeous man come with it, I giggle to myself in my head. Jorah leans over to my ear and whispers, “I think you have a little drool on your chin you might want to clean that up” and he laughs. I hear Aldo and Luca chuckle too. Don’t tell me they heard that, no they couldn’t have he whispered it in my ear. It must have been something else that just happened to coincide with Jorah’s comment. We exist the car and I see this man take a deep breath in and then turn and make eye contact with me. My knees felt weak and I swear his hazel eyes seemed to get darker. I was so drawn to this man, drawn to him like I have never been with anyone before. Then he speaks and if my panties weren’t already wet they are now. “Benvenuto (welcome) I hope your travels were comfortable” he extends his hand to Jorah, but his eyes stayed on me the whole time. Jorah replied, “Thank you Mr Romano, the flight was comfortable and the drive here was beautiful, as is your village community” he smiled. Mr. Romano extended his hand to me, but instead of shaking my hand he lifted my hand to his lips and gently kissed my knuckles while staring into my eyes. The moment our skin touched I felt like a current of electricity went through my body and straight to my core. Holy crap, how on earth does this man do that. I felt like he had me under some sort of spell or trance. His lips lingered on my hand until Jorah cleared his throat next to us. That seemed to bring us both back to earth and Mr. Romano cleared his throat and continued to say, “Per favore (please) call me Matteo after all our families are longtime friends. I hope this villa provides you with the comforts of home. I got a list from Al…I mean Ronan of all your favorite toiletries and foods and have had them stocked. I also had our staff bring a big colazoine (breakfast). I figured you would be hungry and tired after your trip” I cannot believe how thoughtful he is, now I am officially swooning. “Grazie Matteo (thank you Matteo)” oh goddess I love saying his name. “Si Grazie (yes thank you) we really appreciate it” Jorah replies. Matteo stares in my eyes and says, “as much as I would love to spend more time with you, I should let you eat and rest. Per favore (please) Jorah, text or call me when you are ready for a tour of your surroundings” “Grazie, we will Matteo” Jorah replies. I smile and say, “Grazie, a piu tardi Matteo (thank you, see you later Matteo) He smiles and says, “non vedo l’ora di farlo (looking forward to it)” and he reaches and kisses my hand one more time and the same electric current flows through me and I almost moan. Holy crap this man!
