I see Kamryn walk into the main lobby area of the courthouse with Officer Weber. My heart sinks. I should’ve realized when she didn’t immediately come back that she went to see Johnathon.
It feels like she went behind my back. I told her I wanted to go with her if she went to see him. Kamryn said no and that she didn’t feel it was a good idea. Now here she is, walking towards me, guilt on her face.
I being to walk towards them. I need to calm down. I don’t know for sure that Kamryn saw Johnathon. Maybe she didn’t, and I’m jumping to a conclusion. Trying to keep the anger from my voice, I tell Kamryn and Weber, “They plan to reconvene tomorrow at nine if the jury has come to a decision.”
