Chapter Four

1062 Words
Cassia's POV Pain! I felt it, deeply, crushing through my bones and marrow the moment Alec used his inner voice on me, he was never supposed to do that. I was his mate, and the mark it gave me was enough to torment my entire life. My knees had become weak, and as I clutched to my chest, I hit the floor gasping. The sound of his command tore through me, cracking every single bone inside of me. Tears streamed down my face, and even my baby felt it. “You need to leave right now Ms. Cassia” one of the security spoke politely as soon as Alec was gone, a blank expression on his face. I was a pest to all of them, and no doubt they wanted me gone. I forced myself up. Every breath felt like fire in my lungs, but there was no way that I was going to let him continue crushing me like this. If he were choosing someone else, then I needed the rejection to be free from the mate bond. I barely made it down the hallway when Talia rushed towards me, her eyes were wet. “Don't say a word! You are in pain!” She commanded, her voice almost breaking in pain as she held me up, not bothering to ask any questions. All I did was nod my head as she took me to the car, where she helped me inside and shut the door. “Go home, get some rest, I will come over after work, and we can talk,” she assured me, and all I did was nod my head. She stood there waving at me until my car was out of sight. I drove towards my apartment, but as I arrived, I didn't have the chance to park properly. “What the hell!” I groaned, wiping a strain of tears from my eyes as I hurried out of the car, seeing my furniture, my couch, my bed, everything all dumped outside like trash. Three men kept hauling things out of my apartment, ignoring me completely. All my furnitures were now outside. I furrowed my brows, trying to make sense of what was going on. “These are my furniture, what are they doing outside, and why the hell are you touching them?” I snapped fiercely, forgetting all about the pain and ready to take out all the anger on them. “You must be Miss Cassia Magnus right?” “Yes and I am going to ask for the last time, why are you in my house and taking away all of my furniture?” “We were sent by Mr. Carden, he's requested that you vacate immediately. After all, the house was in his name.” My stomach dropped. “No! You can't do that, I have nowhere else to go!” “Sorry maam! Orders came directly from the Alpha's son, the house doesn't belong to you and you are not permitted to be here!” “Just… give me a minute.” I pulled out my phone, tears blurring my screen. I dialed Alec over and over again, but they all went straight to voicemail. I tried the mindlink, nothing. Blocked! He blocked me! I collapsed against the car, sobbing. My chest felt like it was going to split in two. They went back to hauling my life into the street. I couldn't stop them; I had nothing left to stop them. So I did the only thing that I could, I drove straight to Alec's house. Even though I knew he wasn't going to be home now, I would wait, probably wash up, and then wait to have this conversation once and for all with him. I sniffed back the tears, punched in the pin, but after several attempts, it was denied. It was obvious that he had changed the code. Everything was happening so fast, making it so hard for me to breathe, and the worst of it was the fact that I had no idea what crime I had committed. I returned to the car, not sure what to do. Tears rolled down my cheek, even when I wanted to stop crying, I couldn't, my life was coming to an end in a second, and I had no single idea what to do about it. Just then, a call came through my phone; it was Talia. “Hello, Cassia!” Her voice was etched with concern as it came through. “Talia I have no idea what is going on, Alec has taken over the apartment, asking me to leave, he even moved all of the furniture, I went to his home to speak to him but he has changed all the codes, It seemed like he has moved so quickly.” She passed. “That is right Cassia, Alec has moved on, and I think that it's time for you to do the same.” “What!” I choked. “How can you even say something like that, he is my mate!” I yelled at the top of my voice, my voice choking in-between my tears. “Exactly!” She muttered. “The bond is killing you, you have to find a way to break it before it breaks you.” I shook my head in disapproval, tears pouring. That was not what I needed to hear. I didn't want to move on, I wanted answers. “Even if I wanted to break the bond, how is that possible without a rejection….” I wasn't done speaking when I noticed a figure standing before my car. As I turned, my heart dropped. She stood elegantly before me, her beauty far beyond what it had been portrayed on the news. Although I had seen her on the screen, I never had the opportunity of seeing her directly. And my situation right now didn't prepare me for it. Get out of the car!” The Luna ordered, and I quickly dropped my phone; there was no time to think, it was the powerful Luna before me. I unhooked my seatbelt and stepped out of the car. SLAP! The sting exploded across my face, her eyes filled with fury as I clutched my throbbing cheek, the sound echoed that for a moment I thought I had gone deaf.
