CHAPTER 3

Aurora and her mom are walking on the road to go to their flower farm. It’s near the beach. While they are walking someone called Aurora. She already knew whose voice it was. She looked at her back and saw her two best friends named Anna and raven. Anna, the young woman who called her, is waving her hand the same with Raven. She waved back her hand on them.
“Mom, I’ll just talk to Anna and Raven. Promise I’ll follow quickly,” she respectively said to her mom.
“Okay, just take care. I’ll wait you on our flower farm,” Grecia replied and smiled at her daughter,
“Thank you so much mom!” Aurora kissed her mom’s cheek and bid goodbye before going to Anna and Raven. Grecia continued walking after that.
“Aurora, can you go to our home tonight?” Raven asked her.
“Ahm, w-why?” she asked back to Raven.
“My elder brother, Kalmin, just came back home after so many years. He’s done studying and has a job. He takes a one month vacation before going back to his work. Of course, you two know our parents. They will celebrate it and they want you two to go there tonight at six in the evening,” Raven answered her.
“I don’t know if mom will let me go there tonight. But I will try to ask permission once I go to our flower farm. Let’s see if mom will let me go there,” Aurora responded.
“We will pray harder so Auntie Grecia will let you,” Anna said and Aurora laughed a little bit while shaking her head slowly.
“Oh, wait! Aurora, my elder sister, is getting married. She wants you to sing her favorite song if you’re not busy on her wedding day. They will pay a big amount. Also they want to order a hundred of white roses. My sister and her fiancé want to talk with Auntie Grecia about it.” Anna added and Aurora is very happy with what she heard. She can’t believe it!
“Wow! Tell your sister, Anastasia, thanks for choosing us! This is unexpected! Thank you! I’ll tell mom about it. I’m sure she’s gonna be happy hearing this good news!” Aurora replied and looked excited.
“You’re always welcome. I told her about your mother’s rose flower farm and that’s it. By the way, on the other day I’ll give you the wedding invitation same as you Raven,” Anna responded and Raven smiled widely like Aurora.
“I thought you would not invite me!” They laugh a little bit because of Raven's response. After that talk, Aurora bid goodbye and continued walking to go to their flower farm.
“Good morning, Ma’am Aurora!” The guard greeted her and smiled.
“Good morning too! Where is mom?” Aurora asked the guard outside the flower farm.
“She’s in a bamboo made rest house. Ma’am Grecia told me she will wait for you there Ma’am Aurora,” the guard answered.
“Copy, thank you Mr. Edward!”
Aurora walks on the long stairs between the dozen planted roses and at the middle part of the farm, she already saw the bamboo made small rest house. She walked up the short stairs and saw her mom resting.
“Mom…”
Grecia’s eyes slowly opened when she heard her daughter’s voice and felt her presence.
“Mom, Raven told me his brother named Kalmin just got home after so many years. They will have a celebration at dinner and she invited me and Anna. Can I go there mom? Please?” Aurora said and she was begging.
“What time?” her mom asked.
“Tonight at six in the evening. You can also go with me mom if you want,” Aurora answered.
“Okay, we will go there. For now, you should eat. You didn’t eat your breakfast.” Hearing those words. Aurora remembers why she can’t eat before. It’s because of her bad dream again.
“Thank you so much again, mom!” She hugged her mother tight before eating her breakfast.
“Mom, I’ll tell you something and I am so sure that you’ll love it!” Grecia looks at her and her expression is like asking what it is.
“Anna told me that her elder sister, Anastasia, will be married soon. She wants me to sing on her wedding day. And also they want to order a hundred of white roses here! Anastasia and her fiancé want to talk with you about it mom!” Aurora said happily and you can see how excited she is from her facial expressions and gestures.
“Really?” Grecia also didn’t expect what she heard. If Anastasia ordered a hundred of white roses, they would earn a big amount of money.
“One hundred percent mom!” Aurora replied and Grecia became excited like how excited her daughter was.
“That's great news! Wow!”
Their conversation is done and Aurora is finished eating her late breakfast. They go back to work caring for the thousands planted with different colors of roses. Hours pass, then it’s already four in the afternoon. They eat a chicken sandwich before preparing to leave. They are the only people inside and the guard outside because the workers on their farm are on one week vacation.
At their home, they rest before fixing themselves. Aurora takes a shower again and wears a dress which is the color tan. She paired it with white flat sandals and didn’t tie her hair. Aurora looked at herself using the mirror in the wall. Amaze was in her eyes especially when she saw her light brown eyes. Aurora put light makeup on her face before going out of her room. She walks towards her mother’s room and knocks on the door.
“Mom, are you done?” she asked.
“Wait a second…” A second passed and Grecia came out of her room and looked so fresh and beautiful.
“Wow! You’re such a beautiful mom!” Aurora praised her mother.
“You too! Let’s go?”
They locked all the windows and the door before they left their house. Silence filled the whole place. They can only hear the sound of their footsteps and the crickets. The street lights have poor light. They walked almost ten minutes before reaching Raven’s family house.
“Hi Raven!” Aurora called her by those words and Raven and Anna looked at her. They walked towards them immediately.
“Good evening Aurora, Auntie Grecia!” Both of her friends greeted her and her mom.
“Good evening too!” Grecia responded to her daughter’s best friends. After greeting each other for a moment, a handsome man walks towards Raven’s direction.
“Is he your elder brother?” Aurora asked and Raven nodded. She looked at Anna and she saw how Anna blushed and Aurora already knew the meaning of that.
“Good evening!” They greeted him.
“Good evening too!” He greeted them and looked at Anna. Aurora saw it and she already knew again the meaning of that look.
“Ahm, she’s Aurora, and her mother is Auntie Grecia. And this is Anna.” Raven introduced their name to her elder brother and pointed her index finger at them while saying our name.
“Nice to meet you! My name is Kalmin!” He replied and smiled a little bit. Aurora is not gonna ask why Anna has a crush on him even though it's their first time to meet Kalmin. After they introduced themselves, Raven and Kalmin’s mother, Camari, came out and called them.
“Grecia, you’re here! Nice to see you! Come on in guys, let’s eat dinner!” Camari speaks and they happily go inside. They saw Hagan, Raven and Kalmin’s father in the kitchen and finished preparing their dinner.
“Good evening Uncle Hagan!” Anna and Aurora greeted him.
“Good evening too! Come on, sit and let’s talk while we are enjoying eating our food,” Uncle Hagan replied.
They pray before eating. All of them enjoy the dish that is cooked by Camari and Hagan. They cooked chicken tinola, chicken and pork adobo, and caldereta.
“So, how’s my cooking skills? Do the foods taste delicious?” Auntie Camari asked them.
“Of course! It's one of my favorite dishes, Auntie Camari!” Anna answered and they all agreed with her.
“That makes my heart smile, hahaha! Continue eating!” Auntie Camari said and laughed a little bit.
After they ate, Anna, Aurora and Raven volunteered to wash the dishes. While Hagan and his son, Kalmin, are drinking liquor outside. Then Grecia and Camari are talking to each other in the garden. When the three young women are finished washing the dishes, they all go outside.
Anna looked at Kalmin again while it’s busy drinking liquor. She bit her lower lip and looked at the flowers in the garden when Kalmin was about to look at her. This time, Camari is the one who noticed it. She smiled and knew too what’s the meaning of that look.
“Oh, sorry Camari. We need to go home now. Good night to all of you!” Aurora’s mom, Grecia, bid goodbye.
“Goodbye too, thank you for the wonderful dinner!” Aurora utter those words.
“So sad but it’s okay. Anna, can you sleep here tonight?” Camari responded. At the same time, she asked Anna.
“Ahmm…”
“Please?”
“Mom, her mother might--”
“I know, I know my daughter.” Camari cut her daughter’s words.
“Ahm, we can talk to Anna’s mom,” Grecia added.
Now that Grecia uttered those words, Anna thanked her and agreed to stay one night at Raven’s family house. She’s a little bit nervous because Kalmin is there. Anna can feel Kalmin’s eyes are on her and looking at her seriously.
Aurora and Grecia go to Anna’s parents and tell them that Auntie Camari wants her to stay one night in their house before going back to their home.
