My heart tightened on its own as I watched Ana violently gasping for air, Detrex took her away from my hands and laid her on the stretcher driving her to the ward for treatment.
My jaw clenched on its own as my wolf paced around angry, aching, protective Anastasia didn’t know what this was but I did.
The bond was awakening and it was scaring her.
The matebond was trying to form but couldn't form because Anastasia's wolf was trying to prevent it. That was the reason why she went into an attack, her body couldn't compromise.
Detrex called for me after some hours and I followed in, she was stable already I could feel her heart racing , it was like there was a wave of confusion.
Anastasia's past was still holding her hostage.
