I couldn't wait for the event to end, my eyes roamed around in search of Anastasia. Carl said he saw Kara and her together, which meant she was probably here. Lawrence had requested a visit to the pack, one way or the other he involved the Elders about it and now I had no other choice but to consent.
But I didn't know how Anastasia was going to take it, with the way things were now going amongst us.
Finally, the event came to an end, I was the first to stand up, I rushed into the car with my eyes on the window, watching the moon slowly rise over the trees. The sky was dark, the stars scattered, the strange thing was that my mind was heavy.
I got home, dashed inside. I looked around, hoping to find Anastasia in the kitchen or in the room curled up on the bed with a blanket,
