EVERYONE WAS TOO stunned to react.
Probably because Uncle Bernard’s tone was utterly scary. His loud booming voice almost echoed on the rooftop. He didn’t even mind that there were other people that could hear him. No, instead, he was looking at Warren with harsh stares and a disappointed look casted on his face.
It is clear to everyone that he doesn’t like what he’s seeing.
“You were on leave today and this is what you’ve been up to?” Uncle Bernard added, a hint or irritation laced in his voice—still staring directly at Warren.
