The end of the school year finally came. The rest of the year was spent in the classroom. I got too many stares from everyone. It did come out that Draven was seeing a ton of girls after me. I avoid him as much as possible which helped with most of my time never leaving potions. Since I was always in the class I got farther than I ever expected. I had finished everything that Professor Luca had given me even the things that he wanted me to do next year. Which has made him a little frazzled about what he is going to have me do.
I finished packing all my things and sat on my bed watching Gina struggle to put her things into her suitcase.
“Why is it that I am taking the same amount of clothes home and they won’t fit in here.” She was shoving a wad of clothes into the corner on her right near her to get them to fit and she can try and close the suitcase.
“Maybe if you-.”
“Don’t you start.” Gina cut me off by telling her that if she folded them nicer they would most likely fit.
“Okay.” I laughed. “But if I remember you didn’t have it fully closed when you brought it,” I said instead.
After a few minutes of struggling Gina finally used a spell to pack her suitcase and have it close itself. I smiled at her while she gave me a confident smile of having gotten it closed.
“I think it’s time for me to go say goodbye to the professor since this will be a long summer,” I said. It was going to be a long summer since I wouldn’t have much to do. I would be stuck at home doing nothing.
“Well, we can always have some time together if you want,” Gina asked.
“Maybe, but if you have other things to do it’s okay,” I said right before I left our room to go down to the classroom.
As I got to the Potions class I saw Professor Luca standing outside of it. A female student was talking to him. I could see him nodding his head. I walked up and waited for them to finish talking.
“I understand, but I can’t fix what happened. You did not do well in the class.” He told them. He looked over at me and then back at the student. “If the Headmisstes wants to fix it then fine, but I will not. Now if you excuse me I have other things. Then he walked towards me. “Let's go to the Herbology class.” He said to me before moving in that direction.
“Why Herbology?” I asked not sure why we needed to go there.
“I wanted to talk to the Professor about getting some new plants in.” He explains to me and I nod in silence.
As we are making our way I notice a few groups of people look and then whisper to each other. I wasn’t sure what it was, but I acted like it didn’t bother me. Since it happened more now than it did before.
We walked into the greenhouse and then the professor's office.
“Why don’t you wait out here while I have my conversation.” He said to me which made me feel weird about walking with him out here to be left in the greenhouse.
I made the best of it and looked around to see which plants needed some care. I gave water to those who looked like they needed it. Plucked leaves that needed to be removed and put into the compost.
“Always so helpful.” The Herbology Professor and Professor Luca stood at the office door.
I just smiled and didn’t say anything.
“I will get those plants as soon as I can.” They told Luca.
“Thank you.” He moved towards and past me and I followed after him.
After a few minutes, he finally spoke to me.
“I am working on a few things for you next year, but I can’t give you any details since I am still working on everything.”
“Oh, I see. I’m sorry that it is causing you a lot of work before we head out for the summer.” I say to him since I know that my finishing everything has now given him more work to do than before.
“It’s not something you should be sorry about. You are an excellent student and you shouldn’t have to be slowed down with your school work. It’s that we never had anyone go this far and it is something that we are all trying to figure out.” He looked over at me and smiled, but I could see that he looked stressed.
“I could just be done with school.” I joked since I had finished everything that I was supposed to do over the years I was in school for.
“You could be, but I don’t think anyone would approve of it. Since I heard you didn’t pass Future seeing again.” I hung my head as he said that.
“Well, I have next year.” I looked at him trying to convey hope. “Yup, next year.”
