I listened to the heated discussion within the hall picking out the various threads of conversation that ran through the hall.
It seemed that everyone was in agreement about sending the children and the people that had little ability to defend themselves to safety. The only issue of contention that I could pick up on was whether or not we should defend our land now, or whether we should wait until everyone had been sent to safety, and then come to reclaim the land afterwards and defend our home.
Nobody wanted a m******e. All that would do would leave hundreds of orphans and devastated mates, unable to care for their children properly because of the deaths of their soulmates and devastation that it would cause.
