The Clarks

Ace got out feeling stressed, he wouldn't get the job, the other applicants had more experience or just better credentials. He looked for his son and found him talking to a male that wasn't there before, he looked expensive. Judging by the suits appearance that fit him well, and the Rolex that glistened in the light. He looked like he belonged here, in this luxury setting. Ace hurried over hoping Tommy hadn't annoyed the male. Ace pulls at his shirt feeling self-conscious since his suit is old and not nearly as expensive as the male. Ace walks up to them, Jake looks up and eyes widen, the male was handsome. He had black ebony locks that were styled artfully on his face. He was short, and had the thickest plumb lips Jake has ever seen on a man. His eyes were tilted downward making him look dreamy, like he was constantly giving off bedroom eyes. His suit was a little too big on him, making his hands look small, barely poking out from the sleeves. Jake was amused, he could see where Tommy got his looks from. Mr. Clark seemed to be a cute man. Ace tries to look unaffected because the male was gorgeous, but looked a bit intimidating. His eyebrows were so prominent, making his eyes seem sharper, and his eyes so disarming with what seemed amusement. Tommy squeals, "Papa" reaching out his little hands to hug him. Ace shifts his attention to his son, smiling as he says “ Hi baby, thank you for being patient." " Want some ice cream?" he asked softly. Tommy nods his head , " Thank you papa". Ace takes Tommy in his arms, lifting him up. Before he walked off he turned towards Jake saying, " Good luck in the interview. Hopefully you do better than I did" Ace flashes him a smile that makes even his eyes smile. Jake mouth parts open in surprise at how a smile made him feel better. He was confused at what the male was wishing him luck for but then realized that the male didn’t know who he was and thought he was just waiting for the job interview. Tommy was resting his head on Ace's shoulder, waving one of his hands, back and forth saying, " Byebye" Jake waved goodbye and felt a small twinge in his chest, watching the two males walk away. Jake was surprised the male didn’t recognize him, not to sound conceited but he was usually plastered on the tabloids. Usually the gossip magazines would write about his wild adventures with the upper class crowd going to clubs and events. Often times fixating and coming up with rumors on who he was dating. The public always wanted to know who the number one bachelor was dating. The ice prince, they labeled him. What type of person could win his heart, and to most his money. They didn’t know Jake just went to keep his friend Mark company, making sure to show his face to these events. Image was everything, to a lot of people he was a spoiled heir who liked to party. Often Envious of him, they would say crap but wish they were him. His rich “friends” thought he was a cool guy who new what was trendy, usually copying his style or went to the same places he did. He was trendsetter. Jake thoughts were disrupted as he heard the receptionist call out the next candidates to be interviewed. That’s Right; she must have the information on Mr. Clark, she must have his resume on file, all he needed to do was ask. Jake bit his lip, was he being creepy? He was a lot of things, but a creep. He shouldn't. Before he knew it, he had stood up. His feet leading him to the receptionist desk. Smiling wide, giving her his best smile, the one he used for final strikes to persuade people. “Excuse me. Can you please give me the contact information of the last candidates that went just before, surname Clark.” Taehyung asked her politely. She looked at him wide eyed, recognizing him and uttered " Right away Mr. Walton" While she was rummaging all the documents and getting the information, Jake was getting himself worked up. Jake didn’t know why, but he felt the need to find out the name and number of the male. It was something Tommy had mentioned that made him feel the need to intervene in fates plans. The way Tommy had mentioned his papa was sad, and Jake felt the urge to make him smile like he had today. As far Jake was concerned, he should be smiling all the time. According to fate Jake would never see the male again. The city is a big place, what would the odds of running across each other again. Especially if they ran in different circles. Jake would have zero chance of seeing them again, but good thing Jake made his own luck. "Here you are Mr. Walton’’ she responded eagerly putting her brightest smile. Jake was amazed. She didn’t even hesitate, sometimes he was really thankful for his surname. Like now. She should be fired for giving him private information. He was thankful however as she handed him the info. Jake took the note where she had written the name and number. He stared at the name that was written, Ace Clark. Jake put in his pocket and said, “Thank you” as he walked off. He wondered if it was creepy and weird of him to ask for a stranger information , but the twinge he felt at never seeing them again hurt worse than any embarrassment or faux pas he was making. "Ace Clark and Tommy Clark” he mused out loud. The Clarks were definitely charming, leaving a big impression without even trying. Jake made his way to were the cars were kept, Aries had texted him that the car was ready whenever he was. Aries was waiting in front of the car, looking at his phone. Jake coughed loudly, causing Aries to nearly drop his phone, scrambling to catch it. Aries glared but smiled big, “Welcome back Master Walton” Jake wiggled his eyebrows as if taunting Aries, not gonna cuss me out. Aries stuck out his tongue quickly when he thought no one was watching. Only because he was still in front of the hotel entrance where other employees could see them he refrained from throwing a tantrum. He is older, damn it. The brat. "Next up, You have to go to HQ and sign and approve documents” Aries informed him, crossing his arms.“After that, you have free time” he continued as if reciting boring information, which it kinda was. The normal routine, a bunch of meetings and paperwork. Jake nodded his head, and got into the Rolls Royce. "Wake me up when we get there" he yawned out as he closed the door. He leaned into the window, his mind kept remembering that smile. Also those chubby cheeks and puppy eyes of the kid. Marry your papa, huh? He chuckled. Up front, Aries rolled his eyes, "what a psycho" he uttered. "Who laughs to themselves" "Jake must be wondering what path to take" he asked the driver. The chauffeur was watching the road ignoring Aries who continued, "The psychopath" he cracked up, slapping his thigh. They rode in silence, Aries pouting.
