I sluggishly dragged my feet towards my hostel, enduring the numbness that had engulfed the entirety of my body, and still struggling to grapple with everything that had come to my realization.
I couldn't believe that despite everything I had done for them, they still hadn't accepted me as one of theirs.
'Am I really that worthless?' I pondered, engulfed in emotional anguish, tears welling up around my eyes.
'I mean if they knew they didn't want me, why would they both come to me to apologize in the first place?' I asked myself, a torrent of unanswerable questions swirling through my head.
I was still unable to come to terms with the fact that they could set me up this way and lead me into trouble.
