KADE I woke up with Sera curled up at my side, her breathing slow and steady. Last night was good, better than good. We'd stayed up late talking about nothing important, about everything important, about the compound, the future and how Marcus was definitely going to take forever to make a move on Maya. She'd fallen asleep first and I'd laid there looking at her. I was careful getting out of bed, not wanting to wake her, she turned over but didn't open her eyes.
