I went to answer the door, and it was a pizza delivery guy, but it turned out he had the wrong address. I'll be going now , I called out to my boss. I guess he must have fallen asleep. I went to his room and put my ear against the door and suddenly... it opened, and I fell. "I thought you left." He look puzzled. "No, I was about to leave. All your laundry is done." I was patiently waiting for him to tell me I could go. He reached over and grabbed a blanket and pillow, and handed it to me. I was confused for a minute. I was about to say something. "Stay here tonight. You can sleep in the guest room. It's late. there's no need to sleep at the coffee shop. Good night." he looked annoyed. He closed the door. So many questions were running through my mind. How did he know I was staying there? I was somewhat thankful I wouldn't have to go there tonight. I went to the guest room and made the bed up and switched off the lights, and fell asleep.
I woke up the next morning to the smell of fresh brewed coffee and a smell I couldn't describe. I jumped out of bed and folded up the blankets. I went into the kitchen, and there were two plates of food on the table. Fresh squeezed orange juice and hot coffee with some cinnamon rolls. On the plates were eggs, pancakes, and sausage. I was so hungry, I barely ate within the last week, and my stomach started growling. "Eat" Mr. Park ordered. My boss and his name is Zayne.
What an odd name, I thought, but nice. Camille... Mr. Park stared at me as if I were doing something I shouldn't. Oh, I'm - before I could get a word out, my hand bumped his glass of juice, which landed on his lap. I gasped, grabbed a rag, and started wiping the area the juice spilled, not realizing exactly what I was doing. I jumped back in embarrassment. I'm sorry I'm so clumsy. "It's fine, I'll go change." He got up from the table and went to his room, glaring at me.
He must have taken a shower cause his hair was wet when he returned to the table. I'm really sorry, I apologized. I finished my breakfast and left for work, I had the same clothes on. I was thinking about trying to find a way to stay at the hotel and still work at the coffee shop.
Beth called me and asked me why I wasn't at the coffee shop. I explained everything to her. Work ended, I had to work two shifts, and I clocked out and made my way to the coffee shop. It was really dark and I could hardly find my way. I heard footsteps behind me. I walked a little faster. I heard footsteps behind me walking faster also. Panic set in, and I fell. Someone was standing over me. There was light and I could see now. I screamed and tried to get up. I was pushed down. "Give me your money!" I was taken back. "Huh? I don't have any yet? I, please, I just started working." I started sobbing, and he muttered. I'll see you again and ran off. I sat there frozen. I managed to get up and run to the coffee shop.
I got inside the coffee shop to catch my breath. I locked all the doors, and now how was I going to sleep. I grabbed some coffee and went into the back room. I eventually fell asleep. I got up the next morning and got ready for work. Who was that last night? I wondered. Was it just a passerby or maybe someone who worked at the hotel? Maybe I could take a different route to work and back.
I finished my coffee and left for work.
"Camille!!" Mr. Park ordered me into his office. He slammed the door shut. He started pacing. "What is it?" I I really had no clue as to why he was so upset. He started adjusting his tie. Can you help me with my tie? he barked. Oh okay sure, I walked over and fixed his tie. Notice anything different about it? I wasn't following. Um..it's lovely. I smiled. It's white and blue, very pretty. Aaghhhhh! he screamed. I jumped back and almost knocked a vase over. "When I bought this tie, it was blue.. Not white and blue!" I was trembling. "I- I what? I'm confused." I felt scared. I inched my way closer to the door. "I asked you to wash my stuff last night." he whispered. "I did, I washed your clothes and sheets,"I mumbled. He walked over to me, ripped his tie off, and threw it down. "It's coming out of your pay."
