Tanya's POV One afternoon while doing some things, i first saw him, Christopher Hightower, on a busy afternoon at the office. Ambessa's child. I had heard about him before. People whispered about his beauty, success, and charisma, which drew everyone's attention. However, hearing about him was nothing compared to actually seeing him. Christopher stood tall, with serious eyes and a confident smile. His appearance was remarkable, but there was something about the way he conducted himself that made him much more alluring. I couldn't take my eyes off him. He was everything they said he was, and then more. His proximity caused my heart to rush in an unfamiliar way. I noted Ambessa's lack of reaction with his appearance. I quickly looked down, because Ambessa is staring at me while staring at Christopher, embarrassed by Ambessa's stare. "Christopher," Ambessa said as she smiled at her kid. "Hi, this is Tanya. She worked hard here. "She is one of my assistants. Christopher met me, i gaze for a brief moment. I felt a spark, which i couldn't describe. I forced a smile, wanting to appear normal. "Nice to meet you," i murmured quietly. I couldn't stop thinking about him after that. I was always preoccupied while Christopher was at the office. I was drawn in by his confidence and charm. I made an effort to concentrate on my work, but thoughts of him kept coming to me. Ambessa quickly became aware of it. She summoned me to her office one afternoon. I entered with tense nerves. Ambessa's eyes, as piercing as ever, peered up at me from behind her desk. Ambessa said peacefully "Tanya." "You've been distracted. I see it. I frozed. "I apologize; I didn't...... Ambessa interrupted me. "You are looking at my son, like you can melt him by looking at him, am i right? I could tell she wasn't asking out of curiosity but rather to make a point, even if her voice was calm. My cheeks flushed in red. I didn't know how to respond. "I... I didn't intend to." Ambessa squinted her eyes. "Pay close attention. My son is Christopher, and you shouldn't let him divert your attention. You know he's not for you? " I felt a knot in my stomach. It wasn't until Ambessa brought it up that i realized how much Christopher had impacted me. Feeling small, i hurriedly answered, "I understand, Ambessa." Ambessa's tone remained the same, but her eyes softened a little. "All right. Now concentrate on your task. The only way to succeed in this field is to concentrate" I left the office with unease. I was unable to stop thinking about what Ambessa had said. I had always known Ambessa to be protective of her family, but this felt different, i know ambessa for almost 2 months now, but i have no idea of her family. Was Ambessa simply being a mother, i couldn't quit thinking about Christopher and how he made me feel. I wasn't sure if it was merely attraction or something more, but one thing was certain. Ambessa had to tell me to keep away. I couldn't help but to worry what would happen if I let myself get close to Christopher. Will Ambessa fire me or will she throws derogatory words to me.. Now i don't know but it's 12:30 am i should get some rest and recharge tomorrow its Ambessa's 63rd Birthday. Tanya goes home and takes her rest. My mind wandered as i fell asleep. The soft hum of the metropolis outside my window faded, and the silence of night took over. In my dreams, i was standing in a magnificent, dimly illuminated ballroom. The sound of soothing music rippled throughout the room, but i was not paying attention to the people or the magnificent decor. My gaze was concentrated on one individual Christopher. He stood in the center of the room, bathed in beautiful golden light, dressed in a wonderfully cut suit that made him appear even more handsome than he was in real life. His black eyes fastened on hers, and everything else seemed to fade away. He smiled, and i felt her heart race, the warmth of his gaze sending a thrill through me. I approached him without thinking. The distance between us appeared to diminish with each stride i took. His presence was magnetic, drawing me in with an irresistible power. As i approached, Christopher extended his hand, his smile broadening. "Tanya," he whispered, his voice deep and velvety. "I've been waiting for you." I reached out to take his hand, but as their fingers touched, the room suddenly grew cold. The music stopped. The elegant surroundings began to blur, and everything around me faded into darkness. I tried to call out, but my voice was swallowed by the emptiness. A new presence appeared from the shadows, and i felt a chill run down to my spine. I turned, my pulse quickening, and saw Ambessa. Ambessa stood at the edge of the ballroom, her figure tall and imposing, her icy eyes locked onto me with a strange intensity. She wasn’t dressed in the glamorous fashion that i was used to seeing her in. Instead, she was wearing a dark, elegant gown, her expression unreadable. I tried to speak, but Ambessa cut me off. "You don't belong here, Tanya." My heart pounded. "What do you mean? I" Ambessa's gaze never left me. "You think you can take what's mine? You think you can walk into my world and become something? You can't have him, Tanya. You don't know what it would cost. " I felt my breath catch. Ambessa gave me a cold smile and said, "Christopher is my son. And you, Tanya, are nothing but a distraction." I tried to step forward, but my legs felt heavy, as if something was holding me back. Ambessa's presence was suffocating, a dark cloud hovering over her. "Stay away from him," Ambessa warned, her voice sharp, almost like a command. I opened my mouth to argue, but the ballroom began to crumble around me. The walls cracked, and the floor beneath my feet trembled, and the dream was slipping away in bits, like broken glass. Christopher's voice cut through the pandemonium, and i turned to see him standing just a few feet away. But he is no longer confident and warmth. His eyes were distant and chilly. His once kind face has become paranoid. "Tanya…" His voice was barely audible in the shifting dreamscape. "You cannot have both. You can't have both me and your dreams, Choose." Before i could react, everything vanished into blackness. The sounds from the ballroom vanished. The dream vanished, leaving me in the solitude of my own mind. I woke with a start, my heart beating and my breathing rapid and shallow. I sat up in bed, drenched in sweat, unable to make sense of my weird dream. My fingertips brushed against my forehead, my mind reeling from what appeared so real. It was not just a dream. It was a message. My feelings for Christopher were evolving beyond a simple desire, and Ambessa was a force that could not be ignored. I laid my back against my pillows, staring at the ceiling, attempting to quiet my rushing mind. The dream had unsettled me, but one thing was certain. Whatever road i chooses, there would be consequences. Ambessa's warning was not a dream, it was real, and i could feel its weight weighing down on me. I knew one thing for certain as the night went on, in my life at Blaze Magazine, and my desire for Christopher, would only become more complicated. The dream had informed me that there was no easy way out of the twisted web i was now stuck in. Arggghh! Damn this feeling!
