CASSIA’S POV: I had watched Marcus being dragged towards the palace. I had screamed and cried but nobody stopped dragging him — nobody stopped to hear what I had to say. I was escorted back to the palace where I had to stay in my bedroom with guards stationed outside my doors. I was left alone in my bedroom, to my thoughts and to my tears, images of Marcus being dragged out like a petty thief etched into my mind.
