Unexpected

When we got inside a fancy restaurant and waited for a waiter to address us a smile broke out, because I haven't gone anywhere in a good while. I look around at my surroundings and found everything so nice and expensive by the way the food look. I look down at my clothes knowing I wasn't dressed to look the part.

"You look beautiful shorty." Eli says as if he heard my thoughts. I nod my head not believing him, seeing other people dress high and expensive are in here. The waiter comes to us telling us our table is ready. We follow him as we walk hand in hand to our table with people eyeing us. I felt shy and nervous for some reason. I wanted to take my hand out of Eli hand, but for some reason he tightens his grip on my hand. Before the waiter leaves, he hands us our menu and ask us what do we want to drink? Eli answers for the both of us and waiter nods his head leaving us alone.

The place we're sitting in side by side in a booth. Eli decided to sit very close to me for some reason that has me very nervous.

"Shorty, you good? You have been quiet since we got here." Eli voice is calm and clear in my ears.

"It's been awhile since I've gone out with anyone."

"Don't go overboard about it."

"Thank you for..."

"Nah, don't start getting into your feelings about it. You are going to be staying with me for a good while until we get everything handled. I'll be taking you out as much as I can." Eli says smiling at me. I smile back at him, resting my head on his shoulder.

"By the way we are going out tonight to dance." Eli saying this has me going a little crazy.

"I don't have any clothes with me."

"I got it covered shorty." Once again I nod my head at Eli words. A new waiter approach us asking how we are and if we're ready to eat. I didn't have much time to look at our menu, but Eli decides to order for us.

"I'll have the 12oz steak with mash potatoes and salad, while my girl will have a large plate of chicken and shrimp Alfredo pasta." The waiter quickly writes it down on his notepad and remove the menu from our table. I look over to Eli seeing he's already watching me.

"I like being in charge as you can see." Eli says.

"Why didn't you become the leader of the gang?" Eli chuckles.

"If I was the leader would you have loved me instead of Nino?" His questions don't hit me since I had a feeling he would bring Nino into this.

"How do you know I loved Nino?"

"He almost killed you, but after that you still wanted him. I think that's safe to say that's love." Eli says shrugging his shoulder.

"Are you jealous?" I ask him, teasing him for a change.

"f**k yeah. I wanted you since I first laid my eyes on you. I should of came after you since I first saw you, but my dumbass told Nino I wanted you and he thought coming after you before I did would be fun." I stay quiet as he continues to talk.

"If I didn't tell Nino about how I wanted you then I could of probably prevent all of this from happening to you."

"What about that time you brought me to Nino place? You could of say something to me, you know."

"You was too loyal to Nino and I'm pretty sure when I kissed you, you weren't asleep. If I knew better, you could off have told Nino about the kiss." I stay quiet once again as I have told Nino about the kiss.

"I'm right, huh? You did tell him about the kiss. That's why he sent you up to the room and started asking me all these questions."

"I'm sorry."

"It's cool now since I showed you the truth. Everything happens for a reason." You can still tell Eli was hurt from everything with Nino.

"So you've been into it with Nino since you met him?" I ask him as our food arrived. The waiter quickly places our meal in front of us telling us enjoy our meal as we dig in. I wait for his response as he takes a bit out of his hot steak.

"Nino and I never saw eye to eye in the beginning. I wasn't into it when he first introduced me to it."

"Then what made you into it?"

"You want to know that bad, huh?" I nod my head as I take another bite of my pasta.

"We can talk about each other personal life some other day." Eli says to me getting aggravated. I guess I've hit a sensitive spot for him. I nod my head as the awkward silence comes between us. Eli doesn't say anything as we continue to eat. During our meal Eli keeps glancing at his phone as it kept vibrating. The phone he has right now is not the usual phone he always has as this one have a red case on it. The other phone he usually has a black case on it.

"You have a new phone?" Eli tense up just a little bit as his shoulder went up a bit.

"Nah shorty, I got two phones."

"Because of the side hobby? I thought people usually get a burner phone or something like that?" I ask him as he looks dead at me in my eyes.

"Why you keep asking questions for? You need to mind your f*****g business!" He says, lifting his voice at me. I stare at him as he must off have lost his damn respect for me. I don't say anything as I take out two twenties' from my pocket and stand walking away. I hear my name being called from behind and I ignore him as I exit outside.

I bump into someone's chest as I felt two strong hands holding me on each side of my arms to keep me from falling.

"You okay ma'am?" A deep voice says. I glance up quickly to see a black man in a cop uniform. I nod my head quickly to him, sending him a small smile to show I'm okay. He watches me for a while until I heard Eli voice behind me calling for me. "Darnell, what a surprise I've been looking for you." The cop says as he lets me go. I check over myself seeing nothing has escaped my pockets. I turn around to see who the cop was calling Darnell, and my eyebrows go up into the confusion state seeing Eli in front of the cop. Eli looks between the cop and I fast. I take it he's trying to give me a signal to walk away. I turn around walking away slowly as I see from the corner of my eye Eli and the cop talking like there's no tomorrow. They give each other a firm handshake and the cop smile at something Eli says to him.

What the hell is going on? I tell myself as I watch Eli and the cop talks among themselves. I see two more cops come behind them and they to greet Eli as if they're friends. Something not up. Is Eli pretending to be friendly with these cops? Does he really know them from his past?

My mind is going into overdrive as I didn't notice Eli jogging up to me.

"Shorty, I'm sorry about what I said I'm just going through a lot right now." Eli says out of breath. I don't know what to say as my mind is still on overdrive from what just happen. I know he knows that I think I'm going to ask him a bunch of questions of what just happen, and the fact the cop called him Darnell instead of Eli, but instead I stay quiet and calm while my heart is pounding.

"I'll make it up to you boo." He says, walking closer to me. He grabs my hand lifting it to his lip, placing a soft kiss. My heart beats fast as Eli sends me a wide smile.

"I'm sorry for asking you so many questions, I won't ask you anymore questions..."

"Nah, you can ask me questions boo don't be afraid." Eli says as we walk hand in hand to his car. Once inside his car, Eli nonstop kept watching me as much as he can while driving to where ever we were going. He would ask questions that would set me up to into getting me to talk about what happen with the cop. When I would dodge it, he would tighten his hold on the sterling wheel showing how piss he was getting. I don't know what's going on, but I need to gather evidence before I start opening my mouth to talk.

"What are we doing here?" I ask Eli as he looks for a parking spot to park. We were now at a shopping mall looking for a parking spot.

"You need an outfit for tonight, and some clothes." Eli says as we finally found a parking spot. We get out the car, walking hand in hand into the mall. I haven't been inside a mall since Ashley and Tasha. I smile remembering that day as if it was yesterday.

"I never been to this mall before." I tell Eli as we dodge around random people.

"It's cool, I know where the ladies be shopping at." Eli tells me sending a smirk.

"I'm guessing your old girlfriends?" I ask him.

"You can say that." He says not looking at me.

"Here's one." Eli says, pointing to a*****e call Club Out. As soon as we enter all the ladies are checking Eli out and ignoring my presence. Eli hands never left mine, which I was happy about it, but at the same time annoyed as I watch the workers ignore my question and ask Eli every question like he was a damn celebrity.

"I'm going to sit here while you shop shorty. Let me know when you are going to try them on so I can see it on you." Eli says finding a chair to sit on. I nod my head as I let my hand slip out of his not before he pulls me into him landing a soft long pop kiss on my lips.

"Hurry up shorty." He says walking over to sit. I smile blushing as I turn around seeing some of the ladies sending a mean mug to my ass. I walk around looking for an outfit to try on. I had found some outfit to wear, but I wanted a second opinion on the dresses I was holding. Every girl that works here was surrounding Eli flipping their hair or trying to show him they had a nice body. Eli would occasionally glance down at their body, but would shake his head at something one of the girls would say. I didn't know what to say since I didn't know what Eli and I were.

I didn't bother on trying to call for Eli to tell him I went to the fitting room. I had about ten outfits I brought with me in the fitting room. I took my clothes off just as the door to my fitting room open and close.

"Excuse me the fitting room is in use." I said as I quickly grab clothes to cover myself.

"I know, and I specifically told my girl to let me know when she is going inside the fitting room so I can see what outfit she wanted." Eli deep voice says as I glance at the mirror in front of me seeing him staring at me through the mirror. He quickly roams his eyes at my body and I try to cover up my body more. For some reason Eli watching me made me nervous as hell.

"Why are you inside? You can wait outside with those hoes."

"That's why you ain't tell me that you went to the fitting room?" I stay quiet as he stood there waiting for me to say something.

"I saw you eyeing their body hard, and don't say you wasn't because I watch you when one of those hoes bend down in front of you." Eli begins to chuckle which has me getting aggravated.

"So this s**t is funny to you?" I ask him as he doesn't say nothing. Eli nods his head walking slowly to me as I quickly look for my clothes to put on. Eli snatches the clothes out my hands and throws them to the other side. He grabs both my wrist out and slams them on the cold mirror behind me. I feel so nervous as the only thing that separate my naked body from Eli is my bra and panties. Eli doesn't say anything as his eyes roam my body from my lips down to my legs if possible even my toes.

"Let me go Eli!" I tell him as he doesn't listen to me. He continues to stare me down, which has my heart beating hard.

"My eyes are only for you. I may look at those hoes, but my eyes are for you and you only. Those girls' body ain't real and I know you know that. Your body, soul, heart everything is what I want shorty. I'm sorry if I got you thinking you ain't s**t when you know that's not true." Eli confesses to me as I stay quiet, shock at what he says to me.

"I..." My words are cut off by Eli slamming his lips on mine. My eyes instantly shut as my wrist is free from his hold and wrap around his neck. This kiss he's giving me is different, way different from the others he usually gives me. This kiss has me wanting more from him, this kiss has me melting in his arms. This kiss is way different from Nino's. Eli palms my ass giving it a squeeze and I gasp as he takes this advantage to plunge his tongue inside mine dancing with my tongue. This has me going crazy with the new feeling he has me feeling.

"Excuse me is everything okay in there!?" A woman's voice has us stopping. The knock on the door is loud.

"I'm okay, thank you!" I yell at the women blushing as Eli begins to send kisses on my neck.

"Okay, just checking." The woman says as I hear her footsteps walking away.

"Eli stop; we need to leave." I tell him as I try to push on his chest, creating distance. Eli doesn't budge as he grips on my waist, bringing me closer to him as I now feel his member poking at me.

"Eli stop." I tell him as I push harder now.

"Alright, I'll stop." Eli says, backing away from me. His lips look a little swollen from the kiss and he cups his member fixing it. I quickly avert my eyes as he laughs.

"Hurry up and put on the clothes so I can see." Eli says walking to the couch.

After trying on the outfits and calming Eli down from touching me. Eli decided to buy all of it since he says it all look good on me. When we walk out the fitting room the girls that were working here was shocked. They yelled out that a man can't enter inside and Eli cut them off saying he doesn't care. When we were back in the mall, walking around Eli couldn't stop mean mugging the niggas that were staring at me.

"Can you stop doing that."

"I can't help it, you mine."

"It's not like they touching me."

"They eye raping you."

"So you were eye raping those girls inside the store." I told him to shut his ass up. He palms my ass hard trying to pinch me as I laugh out loud from his behavior knowing I was right.

"Eli, is that you?" A soft woman's voice calls out for Eli. Eli immediately stiffens. I turn around first to see a beautiful woman. I automatic tense up also seeing the woman.

"Baby, I don't think my mom going to like this." His voice comes out from behind her. I look behind her even though I already know who it is that voice belongs to. He's pushing a baby stroller.

"Look who I found baby, it's Eli." The women say excitedly. Nino tense up as he stops walking and looks up to us. His eyes find me first in Eli arms. We stare at each other until I glance down to the baby stroller he's pushing. He follows my eyes and he grips the stroller harder. Nino eyes are dancing with so much emotion and I know he's thinking why am I with Eli when he told me to cut all ties with him.
